Thank you for the different perspective on sports bikes; sometimes they are given a bad rap and for those that enjoy performance oriented bikes yet still have commuter needs too you put it all in a good review.

Thanks Hector! Yeah i just wanted to give a real life perpective as i use it as an everyday commuter.

Great topic to discuss and great vid! I have always believed sportbikes are capable of being daily driven. I have a car but I daily my sportbike much more than my car. This vid should definitely have more views.

Nice bike, brother! I rode my '17 f700GS as a daily, rain or shine (near Daytona Beach, Florida) for a year and a half. Over 31k miles in that time. 2 months ago I bought a 750GS 40th Anniv edition. Daily rider. Love them both, but want an s1000R as my daily. My wife hates that I can't really pick up too many groceries. I don't LMAO

I have my RR for a week now, and while waiting the break in to happen, I am daily driving it. I know it has power but like you said it’s fun if you don’t go to the road trying to mil yourself which I do as well.

Sweet bike man, I’ve been looking at a used 17 s1000. Was wondering if you had any issues with the bike especially since you don’t have a car, I’ve only owned bikes from japans big 4 but love the looks of these bmws. Thanks!
@SeeMeRiding2 жыл бұрын
I had zero issues with the bike. Bought it brand new, drove 30,000km with no issues at all. In my view, the S1000RR is the best bang for you buck. And by a long way.

Does your back get tired from seating position? Tucked position is definitely not as comfy as the cruiser, so can you handle more than an hour/two/whatever in a saddle?
@SeeMeRiding3 жыл бұрын
I've done a 4200km road trip on it and it took 4 days and honestly it wasn't too bad. I was able to get a comfortable position when riding +1000km in a day. And i'm 187cm tall, so not the shortest and i had even the lower windscreen on the bike, but in my view it wasn't too bad. But of course you do get a bit of soreness when riding for that long, so it would be more comfortable in a car 😁 The seat on the bike is plush and wide and when riding +100km/h, the wind lightens the weight on your arms a lot. And i just sat as far back on the seat as possible, so my ass wouldn't get sore. Plus this has cruise control so you can rest you arms. And as i rode it as a daily commute, i never really complained about getting tired of riding it, no matter if it was in the city in traffic, on highways or twisty roads.

What are the big changes from the old rr and after the 2016 rr ? Can u tell me that, because i want to get one but its the old 2012 ?
@SeeMeRiding5 жыл бұрын
In 2015 quite a lot changed. New look, better electronics, up and down quickshifter, cruise control, more torque and few other small things. I haven't ridden the older RR so can't really say too much on how much different it feels. But from what i've heard, the older gen is a great bike as well.
@simplydayvid74074 жыл бұрын
How many miles do u have on your bike so far ? Are not worried about putting in miles on your bike, I've heard that once reached 50,000 miles, that's like considered to be about 200,000 miles on a car.
@SeeMeRiding4 жыл бұрын
Well i sold my bike, but i did 30,000km in total. And the reference you did is quite accurate. That was one of the reasons i sold my bike now instead of 10,000 - 20,000km later. And tbh, you don't need to worry about mileage too much. Just like with cars, just service it regularly and you will be fine. At some point you have to do bigger changes in the engine and elsewhere as nothing lasts forever. But yeah in short, service the bike regularly and you'll be fine.

i ride a 150cc naked bike but really want a sports bike now like ktm rc 390 but still confused because roads in India are not like these where you are all the way , people telling me to get a naked bike instead of sports bike will be more comfortable to cut corners and easier and cheaper to maintain. is it true that the seating position for long time isnt that good for your back and you need constant breaks? and they are not well good in as light offroading too? i am just confused i love sports bike but getting a naked one seems more logical right now ;-; i love how ktm rc 390 makes me feel
@SeeMeRiding Жыл бұрын
In my view, naked bikes are worse for long distances because you sit upright and all the wind blows on your upper body. Sports bike is way better for long distance in my view. Also depends on the bike itself, a lot of sports bikes have different seating positions.

Would you recommend buying this bike as a first bike? If the goal is to just have it and use it as a daily, not for insane speeding etc. Would you recommend getting it then, as a first?
@braeeee_11 ай бұрын
there's definitely better bikes to get if you just want to daily. why not just getting a lower cc motorcycle if you don't plan on going insane speeds. liter bikes like the 1krr can touch 100mph in first gear, not to mention are really expensive. just get a lower displacement bike and save yourself 10 grand. as for a first bike, liter bikes require a lot of restraint and care to be ridden safely. they are way to easy to give it too much beans and end up losing traction in a turn or looping. I have a feeling that this comment may be a joke but I'm writing this in the rare event you're serious. if you still want to keep that supersport type look you can always go for the likes of the ninja 400. Yamaha r3, cbr 500, or if you're desperate for that sweet inline 4 sound and big bike feel, you can go for something like a cbr 650r (what I'm currently saving up for) but still this bike is a little more on the powerful side for a complete beginner

U think it's worth the ride of 450-500 miles a week or is that to much? (96 miles a day)

@s1kbenn6 ай бұрын
@@dailydoseofanime2239 an r6 the clutch is a lot more forgiving than an s1k I think it’s better to get an r6 but if yk what ur doing then jump to a Beamer is fine. Also I do real estate with my mom she has her own company that’s why I can afford one at 17. My experience with the bike is that it’s comfortable the bike isn’t that heavy I wouldn’t say it’s light as well and overall it’s a really great bike u can still enjoy on it not like an r1 I tried riding it the throttle is very responsive and sensitive. That’s all I have for u :)

I turn soon 18 and can get a 125cc bike, i will use it for school everyday almost (around ~12km so total ~25km daily) And biggest problem i can think of a sport bike like Cbr125 or Yzf r125 is that my back will hurt a lot because of the sitting position, you are more leaned forward. What do you think about this guys, does your back hurt with such a ride?
@SeeMeRiding4 жыл бұрын
Hey, sorry for late response, but i don't think you will have any issues at all. 12km one-way is very little. Unless you have back problems then maybe yes, but if not, you will never have any issues in my view. I just did a 4200km road trip with this bike and only thing that hurt was my ass 🤣

I get the point, but all i can advise to do with a bike like this is use common sense. Don't go full Ghostrider in a city or where there are a lot of people. Choose the locations where you drive faster. I did 30,000km in this bike, without being pulled over, not even once. I always choose my locations where i drove faster. And if a car comes towards me, i always slowed down so no one will get mad and call the cops.

IMHO? Too expensive a model for someone on such a budget the ownership costs prevents owning a car as a backup? Persoally I would pick a more exonomical motorcycle and also own an economy car....just my 2 cents. I have a Yamaha MT-09 sport touring bike AND a salvage title MIATA that runs like new I bet combined not much more than a single S1000RR And the Yamaha carves almost as well as an RR...i think
