In this episode you can see how I mount on this BMW x3 f25 a dash system cam with 2 cameras front and rear
For this I have to disassemble several panels so that I can safely place the wires in the vehicle. The assembly is made according to BMW specifications but with a system from another manufacturer.
Everything is done with a sense of responsibility and professionalism , at the end all the components disassembled and the panels are cleaned and assembled properly.
This episode is not about the camera system , is about the installation process !

I was able to use this video to completely install and hide the wiring for my 2014 BMW X3 (f25)--because I wired it to the fuse box behind the glove compartment (and thus on the opposite side), the instructions were identical except not having to remove the hood release. I literally had this video on both my laptop/phone throughout the car for reference. This was an incredibly detailed video; had I NOT found this video, I likely would not have even attempted to wire it, but you made it so easy!

Great video. Very professional installation. I have to fit a dash camera to an F25 tomorrow and this video is a big help. I haven't worked on one of the F25 BMW before.

I have the same car and installed the same dashcam in it about 4 years ago. For the rear cam I run the wire the exact same route but on the passenger side. As the best installer in the US, I can only say the job this man did is exceptional! I always wanted to see someone does this job as good as me. 2 suggestions: use the 25mm Tesa instead. Makes the wrapping much faster and saves tape. And most-importantly, buy yourself a torque adjustable power tool. It will save your hands big time, not to mention the time savings.

Thanks for the video. Avoid some labor. There is no need to remove the visor nor the ceiling panel. You can easily tuck the cables.

Hello! Yes, you are perfectly right, in fact you don't need to remove any panels, you can tuck and squeeze the wirie from front to back! And will work! But that makes the difference between a professional installation made with sense of responsibilibty, and an installation made by a beginner in front of its house.

Thank you for a good job. I have have this job in front of me, but I have an E83 -08. The same cam kit though. I have to check if the cable to the rear cam can be prolonged. Then I should assemble some more cables for my MC BMW Navigator IV and for an adjustable action cam...

Such a great video! I know this isn't a DIY tutorial as you mentioned but I'm looking to do same exact install on my 2013 f25 and everything in the video made sense to me except for one thing. Are you able to share which wires you spliced to for the hardwire connection? I tried to find a wiring diagram for the CAS module that you tapped into but I can't seem to find anything online. Thank you in advance!

Look for the BMW Advanced Eye Camera installation guide. It's very easy to find in pdf format. Basically splice wire from pin 34 for constant power, pin 14 for ACC, and pin 12 for ground. M. Ovidiu has a newer video where he installed a viofo dash cam in another f25. He added a fuse to the wire for constant power.

That looks great and close to factory install. One question. With short length of wire to rear camera that comes in kit, could you place front camera on passenger side and run data cable along passenger side A pillar to rear window camera and then the power cable across mirror and down driver side A pillar to CIS/CAS? It would add a few extra steps, but it would work, yes? Or, is there no wire harness along passenger side floor from front to rear? Or, maybe you can’t run wire behind mirror? Just curious.

I'm guessing, but it should not be any problems. The thing is that it requires more job, and for professionals time is money. In a BMW there are cables/harnesses all over the car... I'm not sure if the cable from the battery to the starter motor goes there, on the right. Can this disturb a data cable? I don't know.

eu cred ca defapt designul camerelor 70mai a fost facut pentru masinile cu volan pe dreapta, cum se conduce prin Hong Kong si alte zone, iar cel care a facut designul n-a explicat de ce e asa, pt ca a prins la populime pana la urma acest design :P sau a fost dat afara si s-a pierdut ideea de ce obiectivul camerei e pe stanga 🤪😅 pt ca chiar n-are sens acest design pe LHS(volan pe stanga) zic asta, pentru ca cel mai ok loc de montat, e de partea stanga a oglinzii retrovizoare, asa ascunzi cel mai mult din cabluri, si asa eviti cel mai tare zona de senzori de pe mijlocul parbrizului, fix cum ai montat-o tu, perfect pentru masinile cu volan pe dreapta. pe cele cu volan pe stanga, iti fura din vizibilitate

really nice job, thanks for documenting it. regarding cable lengths, isn't there any 20-30 cm adaptor on the market that can extend that back camera wire? another Q: how long did this take you to do? :D would think i take your time spent and multiply that with 2 to get to what it would take me :D

The time to do the job for him wasn't much longer than the time of video, as he knew exactly every step in advance. The job according to the filming, reposition the camera, etc is cut away. He did never consider the next step. Everything was 100% clear, except one thing - the cable between the two cameras should be about 30 cm longer. I think he adjusted the cable off the video provided. It's no use to show things that went wrong, and he said also that the cable is too short for this vehicle. So everything is very clear. A very good job and a good video. I'm missing an overview of the tools and "extra" materials needed at the beginning of the video.

Salut Ovidiu. Super tutorial. Datorita lui am reușit sa montez camerele destul de profi. Eu, în schimb nu reușesc sa înțeleg cum ai făcut alimentarea permanentă. Eu am un 70m*i și încerc sa fac conexiunea permanenta pe un x3 2015. Ma poți ajuta sa înțeleg mai clar cum se face? 😅

Hello. in this video a dashboard camera is mounted. not a rear view camera, for rear view camera you will have to go to a specialist in your area to see what factory equipment you have for the multimedia system and from there they will be able to tell you what type of camera you need and if it is Enet or classic with separate mode

Hello , on e85 you need to connect the permanent 12 to a permanent 12 v in the car and the terminal 15 to one of the terminals 15 from ignition switch
