Does it need to be reprogrammed after replacing the new catridge?

Only need scan with scanner and remove the fault codes

Thanks! Could you explain how to disconnect the socket from the deployed catridge with more detail? I tried for over 15mins, it just doesn’t come off.

Finally got it off by disassembling the deployed catridge. It just needs to pull up the lock tab in a very hard way. I was scared to break it with worrying about using too much force. BTW, do you have any recommended scanner to use? I am thinking to clear the fault codes in dealership if it doesn’t cost much.

An Active Head Restraint (AHR) system is designed to lessen the impact of whiplash and is located in the front and passenger headrests. The AHR system protects against whiplash by deploying and extending the front half of the headrest forward during a rear end collision to 'catch' the occupant's head.
