Shifter control is logical. I liked how all 4 tires were spinning in the grass; it means it was making the most of the traction it has, it just didn't have proper tires, which are THE most important thing off-road.

Australia: To check if the glove box still worked Spain: To check if it's comfortable Alps: To check if it worked in snow Hong Kong: To look for a metaphor Barbados: To compare the prices you would spend. This would be better when your not reviewing the car. xD

The X6 doesnt really serve a purpose since BMW sells the X5. But in my opinion the X6 just looks so good and aggressive while the X5 of the same generation looks like every other SUV. I also like the fact that you dont see many of them on the road and with the N55 engine they are reliable and efficient yet powerful also. They’re also going for under 15k now.

The funny thing is that a modern G20 320d is faster from 0-100km/h than the X6 described in the video. By 0.2 seconds.

There was a comment a couple of months back explaining how they shot this. They have Top Gear Live shows in Australia and Hong Kong, and thus it isn't difficult to arrange for an X6 there to shoot a few scenes. Clarkson goes to Barbados for holiday every year, and once again it isn't too difficult to get a film crew there to shoot a few scenes. For the scenes shot in Europe, the TG crew basically drove the car to where ever they wanted to shoot and just shot it there.

The shifter is Initial D style; shift up = pull toward driver. The paddle shifters have each been given both shift functions so you don't have to remember where the "up" and "down" lever went while you toss the wheel. Although, I don't know how much of either of the above you would really be doing in this vehicle.

Totally agree. I had the chance to travel in one X6 2 weeks ago, and I must say It was one of the most uncomfortable cars I´ve ever ridden. Specially at the backseats.

@@mynameisuzo0 Don't really know about any ''issue'', but the rear view mirror provides pretty much 0 view out of the window haha. A rear view camera is pretty much a MUST have. Hope this helps :)

love this review i was a valet for many years and it is a very accurate review, beautiful car but i thought i was the only one. great looking car and lots of power for a family car its not a great idea you can barely see kids behind and the camera is only in the higher model and that weird bmw sensor for backing up or parking is almost pointless they should have put in a camera in every model

Czech Shooter look before i pulled the trigger and buy it, i tried sport SUV like cayenne S, range rover Sport, they can't beat the driving experience it combined between aggressive look specially with 20" wheels,luxury and its a drivers car there is a connection between you the car and the road.

***** be honest with me, would you take a 90k car and drive through mud or drive on the highway at high speeds switching lanes. I know the X6 is not an off road car but it is a good sports SUV and the looks. Every driver has a different thought on cars. For me I drove many sports cars from M3's to SLS63's and for an SUV it handles pretty nice for its size.

dom1abc1mbc You'd be surprised at how well the Evoque handles off-road conditions. Despite that, I consider most SUVs stupid, since many are built for off-road, but most customers are certainly NEVER taking it off-road.

dom1abc1mbc Off-road vehicles with 4 cylinders most likely has forced-induction. It's a common trend in most new cars as it increases power, torque and has lower fuel consumption than a larger engine with similar power figures.
