I knew someone would ask, it’s because the first two bikes were complete bikes that broke after I used them, the first bike’s fork dropouts cracked and on the second bike the rims bent and the headset bearings broke, and because they were unconventional completes there were no compatible remplacement parts for me to buy locally or online

Lol ive had mine since 2014

I had to because the first two bikes had broken parts and there were no online stores that sold those specific replacement parts for complete bikes (for instance my non integrated headsets bearings broke)

The first two bikes were cheap completes from bad companies and their parts broke quickly so I had to get a new bike that was reliable for the long term

My first 2 bikes were really cheap and unrideable after a short period of time, their parts didn't last ( the non integrated headsets and unsealed bearing for instance), and there were no replacement parts on the market that matched those specific bike models, so I just invested in a custom build that'll last me a long time

@@NirBkMX if you’re serious about bmx it’s of course the way to go but you’re lucky to have the money to do that.

Your bike broke every two weeks but you had parts to replace them with, I didn’t because my first two bike were completes from companies like mongoose that had very unconventional parts (like non integrated headsets) , and in my country (Israel) they don’t sell any replacement parts like that and I couldn’t find any online either because they had to fit my exact bike models

Both of my first two bikes were unridable after a short time, I had broken parts on both of the bikes that I had no way to replace because standard bmx parts were not compatible with what I had, but I’ll use the custom bike for a long time because it is a lot more durable and the parts can be replaced

Anyway almost all the money for the bikes was money I saved up for a long time and I worked to get more

It’s hard a lot of times to get a good bmx bike, try getting a loan from parents or relatives and work to return the money

@@bananab0ng756 that’s also why I only started grinding when I got the custom bike, I was afraid of bending my axle or fork dropouts with the other bikes (I cracked the fork dropout on my first bike trying to grind a ledge)
