Outstanding material, sensei. Thank you. I have been training Isshin-Ryu for 36 years, Tang Soo Do for 15 (basically Shotokan) and Daito Ryu Aikijujitsu for a few years (really gave me great insight into my Okinawan karate). Great work with the bo. I will look to incorporate the strikes in Urashi and Shi Shi No Kun kata. I see a lot of Naihanchi in your strikes as well.

Kuro-obi worudo wa yappari sugoi desu ne ! I had goosebumps and chills when the camera went in front with the right posture. I can imagine what the presence would be face to face. After that I laugh everytime as my eyes were opened by these small details by Mitsutada-sensei. This is really enjoyable ! Thank you ! I keep smiling. 😊

I never understood bring the Jo under the arm. But using the forearm and wrist allows for more freedom of movement and allows you to stay connected to the Jo. Too close to your body it can be used to unbalance you.Oss.

Sensei, apa yg di maksud dengan Bo.? Tolong penjelasanya sensei.. Beberapa tahun yg lalu saya pernah latihan karate, sudah Q1. Mau ambil ujian sabuk hitam ( sodanso). aliran shitoryu..

The biggest thing Americans need to learn it that we need to actually DO these moves. Doing them in the air, in a kata, is nice but to truly learn to use the bo, we must actually make real contact when being attacked or trying to block. It is like firing a gun over and over without any bullets in the gun. When you start shooting with sound, recoil, and stress....it is a whole different game.
