MMA is basically 80% wrestling/grappling/Jujitsu. If you wanna see more punches being thrown and landed you should watch this other sport called Boxing. When money is on the line, and your good at wrestling, and choking ppl out. Than that's what your going to do every time to get paid. Jon Jones did the same thing that night. But I think Boxing would peek your interest more. Maybe watch Paul Logan's fights instead lmao.

I dont think you can see it from the crowd to evaluate how CLEAR it was, if u look at the replay it has not had any effect on the match, Bo was gonna take him down regardless from that position.

Dude had the right game plan when in the clinch use your knees but he got one in that was ineffective and Bo was just to strong and used all his weight to tire him out for an easy win . Let’s see how he does going up the ladder but geeze is he good

There's no way the ref didn't see the nut shot he was standing at a perfect angle to see it and then the commentators didn't mention it after the fight or even show a replay. I'm glad Bo won but that was really strange.

Looks like Pickett almost landed one as well in the very begging, both knees were too close to tell so ref probably just let the fight continue. Fighters wear cups as well so in my opinion not a very good excuse for Pickett losing the fight or even worth trying to appeal for a no contest.

I’m a wrestler and an American wrestling fan, and will surely be pulling for Nickal if he and Chimaev ever fight, but Chimaev is too well rounded and Nickal too one dimensional for him to even talk about fighting Chimaev at this point. And after watching this video, it was clearly an unfair advantage for Nickal after the low blow. I can’t imagine trying to continue fighting with the distraction of that pain!

He would definitely lose to someone like jorge masvidal, who is 4-4 in his last 8. Against no names, only 3 being finishes and only 2 being in the 1st round. While constantly getting sharted on in the distance. Meaning Bo has the #15 guy beat rn so what are u talking about

@@MrTime2Spare I would assume that's up the ref. I also assume that the ref is told/rules say that if someone is in a legit submission attempt, that action continues until the submission happens or until the clock runs out. But ultimately the ref decides if the submission attempt is legit.

Bo Nickal is a very intelligent and patient MMA fighter. It reminded me of a boa constrictor or a python slowly constricting and waiting for its prey to weaken. Bo's knee to the opponent's inner thigh - that's the ref's call to decide.

Was his left arm and he admitted, he needs work. He said with his dominate right arm, his technique is much better and he would have secured the tap him in 10 seconds. Having trained bjj, I understand and had the same limitations early on.

Slight…very slight…. Adjustments wouldn’t produce a finish. Being able to get to the position is the jam and can’t be taught in a single practice. The finish can literally be taught and understood in an hour

Yea possibly if his nuts hang down the side halfway down his thigh while wearing a cup. Then yes he might of got him, but probably not! Also not sure if that made a difference in the fight. Bo would of still ended this fight with a submission. It was his plan and he would of got there one way or another.

Everyone talking about the nut shot, even if that was the case, this fight would of had the same result. Bo Nickal would of taken him down over and over, teched him, pinned him 12 times and then submitted him sooner or later. At the end of it all, he would of got the win. So stop criticizing something that happens every single fight and it's not like those things are purposely done. It's the refs job to stop fight and other fighter to react when getting hit. If the fight doesn't get stopped you keep going until the bell rings.

Yeah, bo didn't have the proper technique for quite some time there. When I saw him finally collapse his arm and hug it in I knew the tap was coming...everything before that was just uncomfortable.

Frankly this win is pretty bad for Bo, they aint done him any favors. He absolutely should get some more octagon time and experience and now who knows how that win will affect his chances in fights with more skilled and experienced opponents. He might come in overconfident and get smoked if they give him someone good. Im not even sure he'd actually handle Chimaev, questions remain unanswered.
