Really interesting there are so many of these in Taipei. It's as if Mitsubishi had a lock on the market back then. I guess there's so numerous that there's still a strong market for spare parts thus the lack of "modernization".

I looked up on Taiwan Mitsubishi Elevator's website, Mitsubishi has been serving the Taiwanese market since 1959 and they have a factory in there so I think nearly all of its elevators are manufactured locally. Even our freight models (GFC-L2 and GFC-L3) in Indonesia are imported from Taiwan.
