Carnival has taken two ships from its sister line, Costa, and rebranded them as ‘Carnival Fun Italian Style’! These ships are what we know and love about Carnival but have a different Italian flair to them.
I am boarding the Carnival Firenze for what was supposed to be the inaugural sailing, but is now the second. I will have a port days in Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada along with two relaxing sea days. I will share as much as I can in the layout of this new ship, the food and entertainment. Let’s GO!!

Long Beach “dome” used to house The Spruce Goose before Evergreen bought her and moved her to WA. After that the dome was empty. So Carnival either leased or bought the area from the city of Long Beach. Then turned her into their exclusive port. Moving from the San Pedro port of Los Angeles

I really miss you and Jason travelling together. Its not that it isn't always great to see you, but the magic you and Jason have translates to your videos and something in your video content, is missing when he isn't there.

I agree. The Greece blogs with Jason were super good. Reviewed many times. The recent blogs have lacked the quality magic interaction of travel with Jason. ( lacking in most cruise blogs )We tune in not to learn about a dog. Or dog Instagram posts. Focus lost recently.

I lived on the Isle of Wight as a child in the 50s, loved seeing the Queen Mary heading into the English Channel. Love all your content as my mobility not so good now. Absolutely adore the puppy.❤

in 2016, i had to sail on another carnival ship without my girlfriend carolyn, who fell down on a sidewalk in april of that year. this year she and i are going on the firebnze on may 21.

Welcome to Long Beach. I live in the area. One observation. The Queen Mary is a hotel, BUT it is also a museum. Hope you have enjoyed the Venecia. I am looking forward to being on it in a year or so.

Another great video! That dome at the port, now the cruise terminal, was built to house Howard Hughes's famous "Spruce Goose" airplane before it was moved up the coast.

I was just down the road in San Pedro on Navigator in Mid April for my birthday. Saw the drama on May 2nd, I had your cruise booked but canceled after they place a cruise before this one. Enjoy your cruise. Fred San Diego Ca.

We were put in an extended balcony aft cabin -I think a mini suite on Conquest during covid. Loved it & was our 1st time at Bimini.😊

Oh, those Guy's Burgers are probably THE BEST FOOD EVER on a cruise ship!! You mentioned the "String music" was on here. Is this the 3 violinists that were also on the Venezia? I think they are called Delight String Trio?? SO Amazing!! Do you have any video of them??

The ship looks amazing! Kinda jelly, since there are some additions on Firenze that aren't on Venezia (like those empanadas!) Maybe they will add that the next dry dock. It's so different not seeing Jason with you on this cruise. Can't wait to see the rest of your solo adventure!

I like cruising from Long Beach just wish they had a place to put a Private Island for the West Coast folks like they do on the East Coast because Ensenada and Catalina gets very boring to go all the time...

u for sure need to book an aft cabin! i would say do it on one of the Vista class ships since they seem to be part of the Havana area - that way u can kill 2 birds with one stone and experience both at the same time - we cant seem to book anything but aft cabins cuz as u said - the view is awesome back there! we had our first taste of Havana last sept on Horizon and it was awesome as well - am definitely considering booking the Firenze and more than likely will try to get one of the Terrazza area aft balconies - thanks for another great vid!

Long Beach was kinda miserable to get into?? Had the EXACT same problem on Easter Sunday down the road a bit in San Pedro (which is technically the “Los Angeles Cruise Port”) trying to get on NCL Bliss! ABSOLUTE Nightmare!! Took 75 MINUTES TO GET FROM PULLING INTO THE FRONT GATES OF THE PORT UNTIL WE WERE ABLE TO PARK THE CAR!!

Looks like a nice ship even though it is older. Please pronounce Firenze as it is spelled not add an O after the I - thank you. As for the people sitting in front of the slot machines, I would be one of them. I actually think without a casino, I would be bored on those cruises but that is just me. To each his own I guess.

Without Jason and the addition of a dog is NOT continuing the magic quality as of your past excellent travel blogs. We watch to learn more about cruise travel....not about a new pet as in your Colorado blogs.
