When I was going to the boarding school and I said that my parents they were like "Ok but don't die on intersection 😅". So sometimes it's better to just say to them " I'm going to the boarding school" and it will be done

Hey im late on the video ! But I need help i already just said I rlly like the boarding school and that I wanna go and its rlly embarrassing talking about it because my mum just says ugh not this again or something not as rude but still. i already talked with my parents all about this stuff and they agreed but we dont have the money sadly...... and you can only get a scolarship/bursary at that school when you get into financial problems after you submitted your child to the school.. so thats sad and im just praying now that a miracle happens and i can still go before its too late...

For me, it's very reasonable cost and low chance I'll get in, but, my parents say no. I have clear reasons i want to go, but my dad says he doesn't want to miss me growing up, my mom, I don't even know what she has against it she just gets angry and guilt trips me whenever i bring the subject up, but if my dad says yes so will she. How do i convince my dad that I won't be a stranger to him, and the 3 years i have left as a child aren't any more valuable then 3 years we will spend together when I'm an adult?

I don't know if I'm too late or if you'll see this but I'm in the same position as you. I'd say to treat it like a business plan, write out a list in your notebook or paper of the benefits of going to the school you wanna go to and do your research on the costs, the activities they offer, and how easy or hard it is to get into the school before doing this. Then find a solution to their problems. For example your dad said he doesn't wanna miss you growing up, maybe tell him that you can always call/facetime him on the weekends and after school and that when the school holds special events ,he can come to visit. Or opt for flexi boarding as it allows you to spend more time with your parents by coming home on weekends, and it may be more affordable. If you're still looking to apply, hope this helps and wish you good luck ,I'm finding it hard to convince my parents but I will try this method too.

@@queenolivia7924 Thank you for replying, I opted for graduating highschool a year early instead of it. My mom is not persuaded by logic, no matter what she just wants to yell and yell and yell. I showed her statistics , spreadhseets, well researched google docs. The boarding school I wanted was performing arts focused and my parents don't want to pay for that. I told my dad I'd call him as much as possible, but he said that it is "not the same". I also realized that my mom holds the power, and even if my dad is convinced, my mom won't tell me what her problems are without screaming at me. Maybe I should've pushed harder when I was 12. Now I'm 16 and thinking about everything I missed there. But I did everything I could reasonably do. Good luck to you, I hope everything goes alright. Soon I won't have to rely on my parents.

@@user-kt1no7yx1u I agree. But for me, my parents, I don't think, want me away from home. So if they told me they wanted to send me to some boarding school that had a better education system I would be bursting with joy. But then again, I could also see how much it would suck if you got sent to a religious school, or some boot camp if you know what I mean.

@@yyeonu You can work with them to try and get a scholarship or financial aid! Even if you think you can't afford it give financial aid a try! You never know maybe they will give you a scholarship! :)
