Hey guys! Welcome to another instalment of Waifu Wednesdays.
- I just got back from a one week tour with ‪@EllieBikes‬ doing some European City hopping and enduring a fire on the Motorway, Food Poisoning and a WHOPPING 2100 miles.
In this episode we make the ferry crossing to Calais from Dover and take the back roads to Reims - our first stopover.
We booked into a lovely AirB&B about a 15 minute ride from Reims, and took a chilled ride into the city to explore the Champagne region.
FUNNY STORY - Ellie and I met in a petrol station two years ago - neither of us had imagined we'd be racking up miles together in 7 different countries a couple years later, but we had the most amazing time together.

As a very regular user of the Channel ferries, I totally recommend getting the VIP lounge pass. It's cheap enough that if you plan on getting coffee and food, it pays for itself (free food and drinks in the VIP lounge), you have nice comfy sofas to sit on, and usually there's only like five other people in it.

@@MotoWaifu yeah it's especially a blessing during busy periods when the rest of the ship is invaded by screaming kids and groups of lads. It's so quiet I often sleep in there. The food is very basic, like sandwiches and stuff, and that is free, but there's also a paying restaurant service if you need it. Drinks are the usual ones you get from the multiselection coffee machines, plus water bottles and fruit juices. You don't have to prebook it, you can buy the pass on the ship at the entrance of the lounge, which is usually on the very top floor. To me, totally worth it 😉

We filled up every 100miles but we both could have got about 130 to the tank.. mine stretches to around 140/150 if I ride really conservatively

Thank you! I do not use a comfort seat. 🤓 although when I rode to Romania I finally cracked and bought a sheep skin rug. After doing 10km in three weeks I legit had a bruised butt. Sorry if tmi. 😂

I was searching for some information about motorcycling to France and found out about your channel. I am also planning to do a trip to Belgium and I was wondering what are the documents or equipment are mandatory to cross the border, except passport and insurance?

Hey! Ah thanks for watching :D Well, I usually take the following; Passport Driving License V5C Travel Insurance Breakdown Insurance But I've only ever been asked for my passport - I also take photocopies of everything incase I lose things. In France you need a certain number of things incase of a breakdown but it's all listed on this website; www.rac.co.uk/drive/travel/country/france/ Hope that helps! How easy is it to Travel to France on a motorcycle do you still need a negative Covid test,bike papers, GB stickers etc.

Hey! It's super easy, honestly. All I took with me was my boarding pass and my passport. No covid checks at the border (on all four occasions I went over this summer) I didn't put a GB sticker on my bike, I had nowhere to put it..

I didn't take my V5, but if I got pulled over I may have needed it as proof of ownership. But they don't ask for this at the border either. Hope that helps! :)
