Very nice blanket and the colors that you used are beautiful. I'm always looking for new stitches and I taught myself to crochet about 35 years ago. Only knew the single crochet. I picked it back up at the beginning of 2020 and have learned quite a few of stitches. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us. God bless

@@AmandaCrochets changed the light grey for a varagated grey, the teal color is so nice and the black has a thread of silver going through it. i think that combo will look great. size wise its 69ins wide and lenght not sure yet. im sure my grandson will like it.

This is the first blanket pattern of yours I've looked at, and I think I might give it a try. I have a stitch tutorial idea for you. I found a stitch called the Lemon Peel Stitch, and I was wondering if you could do a Crochet 101 on it. I've heard it's really good for dishcloths too. You should maybe design a dishcloth pattern with it too. I love the stitch pattern of this blanket.

Hi Haley, I hope you give this blanket a try! I've heard of the Lemon Peel stitch before and have gotten a few requests to make a tutorial. I know it's similar to the seed stitch and I believe also the moss stitch. I'll have to add it to my ever growing list of tutorial ideas. I can for sure make a dishcloth pattern using this stitch. I have a few ideas for this stitch. Thanks for the suggestion :)

I've started making a scarf with this stitch, just to try it out, and I absolutely love it. I have one question though. Instead of making a row of single crochets, would half double crochets work on that row too? For some reason I have this incessant need to "yarn over" all the time lol.

@@woodssandy24 The "look" of it is turning out ok with the single crochet, BUT its causing the edges to curl at the corners and its driving me nuts. I'm normally a tight crocheter but made it a point not to on this stitch and still it curls.

Yes of course, you can use a half double crochet stitch instead of the single crochet. 😊 I’m sure it’ll turn out very lovely.

This might be a stupid Q. You call this a baby blanket. I can use any yarn and it’s a blanket for anyone right?

I say baby blanket because of the size of the project. However you can always make any of my blankets in a larger size by changing the number of chains you make. I mention this in my videos as I know some people want to make this in a different size. Hope that helps!
