This video is timeless. I have went back and watched it a dozen time. Every time I need a good laugh I watch it. Derek definitely needs to do a boat rescue on the Tennessee river. Buy a boat in East Tennessee or Kentucky lake. Run the river system back towards his home in southern Tennessee. Boats that need work are cheap. He could buy a cabin cruiser and take the whole family. You just need a dinghy to help pull the boat if it breaks down. Make it a family vacation Derek. Jessica and the boys would love it. Nothing more relaxing than traveling on the river. The Tennessee River is beautiful. In the summer the boys can swim at night. Sleep on the boat and Just anchor out in a cove off the main river at night. Work on the boat while underway.. make a great family video

Question: Does this boat engine draw its cooling water from the lake? If so, it's possibly still closed from being winterized. Might be a simple matter of removing a plug or opening a valve to let water in. Boatz ain't carz! They differnt!

Why I like straight inboards with through transome exhaust? When in the drink if you don't see that steam you know she's running hot, plus if it's a open system you can run it in the driveway to see if it's pumping water. The water intake impeller should be changed yearly. I just like straight inboards, a lot less crap to deal with and easier to work on but just my opinion. 🙂 Derek never says what he pays for the junk he buys which is none of our business but I know he's a deal finder, he may have got a free trailer or boat or dang near both so it's all good.
