We stop over in Nassau , New Providence Bahamas to refuel, and do some modifications to the R25's bow in order to secure the fuel and water containers. Once again we try to solve the mystery of the leaky dinghy. Julia bakes some delicious cornbread without an oven on board.

Really like to see the Ranger in action in all the situations you come across. Thinking hard on one myself.

Thanks Sco...we have had so much fun with it. If you choose the Ranger Tug we imagine you won't be disappointed. Any time on the water is time well spent.

I can tell you an Autopilot, AIS and a Radar are complete game changers, especially when alone on board. After installing the autopilot in addition to Radar/AIS on my Parker 760Quest - I enjoy long trips much more on this small boat. Open water, night runs or high traffic areas - its so much safer.....

You are so right Woody, and you will be happy to hear we have recently installed both radar and auto pilot- so happy we did. AIS will have to wait a bit

I like how Michael takes a chance to make his crossing with a not-so-good weather forecast. Glad you're getting repairs done. Hope the dinghy holds air. Those were some big sharks around the docks. I enjoyed the video.

Thanks T, the dinghy is still an ongoing thorn in our side...hope to get things figured out soon- and yes, those sharks were curious!

I'm loving the way you both are using your boat. I have a R23 and I am also a Mega yacht captain. Generally speaking we are very respectful of the smaller boats in the channels but there are some bad apples for sure. safe travels.

I loved this video. We had our Cutwater 32 in almost the exact same slip three months ago. The sharks as big as submarines was hilarious. Are you going to Chub Cay next?

We understand Chub is very expensive now and very busy so we are hiding in the Berry Islands.

re:water use I've found it to be directly proportional to how long before the next fillup. At first I conserve then I splurge.

You should have a magnet for retrieval... also, was thinking a white cover over the water tanks to reduce the sun's breakdown of the plastic into the water, but you said it wasn't for drinking... the skin absorbs chemicals too.

That's a good idea. We are hoping to get a water maker. Then we don't have to carry the water jugs.

Michael's experience working on charter boats for years really helps, but always best to be extra careful especially on a moving boat.

It was only a drill bit this time.... I would invest in a (fishing) magnet. It could also help you retrieve a lost anchor. Mine is rated for 1100lbs. Cost $20ish....cant remember but it looks like you could have used one. Hope this helps

@@expeditionseanest Rather than getting a radar, look into getting a FLIR. Very nice video and the mystery of the dingy continues!

The leek in the dinghy is substantial enough to find, you just haven’t looked good enough. Have you checked that the locking ring on the vent is as tight as it needs to be?
@expeditionseanest
@expeditionseanest 3 ай бұрын
The locking ring was tight it ended up being dozens of tiny perforations in the fabric. This was not caused by us. It was a defect in the PVC material. High field would not cover it and instead poured a little bit of product into the tube to seal it then charged us $250.00 the boat was still under warranty, and they would not cover it. We are very disappointed We are looking at purchasing an AB inflatable. We understand the material that they build it with is a better product.

Thanks for the suggestions and comment M-R . We will try to fit in a video with all the modifications sometime in the future. Or maybe have it available on the website. Not sure I kept track of all of the costs though. It is always helpful to see what others have come up with . So many great ideas out there.
