Chad, that GP F5 boat racing, there is a lot more to it than most people think, like what happen to the leader took the bend to sharp and to fast which starve the engine of fuel, you need to keep the prop in the water with lest amount of the hull in the water to get full speed. That vessel you called a ship, it is class as a boat, it's a PT boat, prop from Vietnam USA leftovers

Those Boats even with a tiny hp motor. The weight to hp ratio is good. I've seen kids racing the small f5s in the us. It's fun racing. Wonder if they have pwc racing there? Or off shore racing. These one take videos are fire 🔥. 20:32

I used to go to shadow cliffs recreational park back in the 80s ( it’s between Livermore & Pleasanton Ca ) they were a blast . Watching the hydros on Lake Washington just isn’t the same, the little ones are a blast the hydros are a drunken zoo .

the catamaran boats are tunnel boats the tunnel fills with air and lifts the boat mostly out of the water since the hulls grab the water better they can turn tighter the normal looking boats are v bottom hulls , these are way more stable in windy conditions (there less chance of them lifting out of the water and flipping )but slower and can turn less sharply think the classes are dictated by the size or power of the engines

I may be wrong, but seems to me that they're actually not that fast. Guessing 25HP motors doing maybe 40-50 mph. The Longtail river boats were quite a bit faster. Interesting though. As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇

My key was in my pocket. It’s a knob you turn and it’s remote start but no, thief is not an issue at all. I could leave the key on the hood of my over night in a parking lot and no one would take my car. People don’t steal here.

Chad...dude... *I need you to do your homework before covering another of these* You weren't able to show us one engine and this (I'm guessing) was an engine endurance race(?) This is such an interesting topic because these boats look to be something a falang could make a Thailand retirement hobby around... sailing as well.. I mean, racing does seem to be your stream theme. It looks to be sort of a niche cult of hobbyists, but I'll bet it wouldn't be as much $ to get into as the longboats
