So this camera uses a 2mp sensor that records in 1080p at 12fps and a 3.6mm lens.
It can Pan 355 degrees and Tilt 90 degrees but it only uses 4x digital zoom.
This is a really small outdoor IP camera and even though it is weatherproof with a IP65 rating I would recommend placing it under some kind of cover just to make sure it last as long as possible.

I've had this for 3 months. So far it's a good sturdy camera. Survives sunny days and rainy days.

How do you get it to record ONLY when motion is detected? Mine records constantly which makes checking on prowlers impossible

@@gibsonfamily it comes with a dc power adapter thats plugged in into the wall outlet so it's always on. No batteries.

@T the only other box I can think of is your WiFi router, Unless you are connecting it thru a Ethernet cable

It's cheap, the pictures here look fine to me, he got it to do everything it's supposed to do. I'm not going to sit in front of this and watch it very often. For this price I can afford to replace it 5 times for the price of a more expensive one that I probably won't be able to figure out. When people see it hanging on my garage they are not going to mess with my stuff and they won't know if it's working or not. It's halfway between nothing and me standing out there with a baseball bat. Mines on the way from Amazon.

Good morning Chris. QUESTIONSo I have the boavision,Mini IP66 PTZ . It's not recording. What am I doing wrong? I have the cheaper, which is the one, you're reviewing now. The more expensive( giving problems) one ,installed high up a little under awning upstairs,is not recording. Is it because its positioning is affecting sensor? I used the 128 Gb in both. The cheaper one is doing the job. It's on my porch.

Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even kzfaq.infoUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

My camera is at my second home 1600 miles from me. The camera will Not turn from left to right . I assume that there is ice in my camera. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? It does move up and down and will zoom in and out.

My camera has completely froze on a night-vision scene so the light stays on all the time and I can't view anyting. I've tried unplugging it I've tried messing with the settings on my phone app but nothing is working any suggestions? I do not get an answer at the phone number given on the box it does not even state that it is BOA Vision that I am reaching

For me vari-focal is a must. My use case is doing small installs for smb's that are not absolutely sure on placement and coverage. With decent zoom, the client can reaim without having to move the installation. Considering that I bill $150/hr. it would be unethical for me to install less than real ptz.

how can I set up push notifications? I set up my Iphone to receive push notifications from the app but when I go in and try to click it it will not adhere? If I can get a response from anyone in the next hour I would be forever greatful I'm trying to help out a disabled neighbor?

You can set them up in the web interface or use the app. Then just select which preset you want and the camera will move there. Yes it support auto tracking but it can onle Pan not Tilt so not very useful.

own 4 of these, 2 older. fixed focus and the other 2 with zoom and tracking, work sideways and up and down. speakers are worthless, but my biggest compliant is two have developed tilt issues. where it will not move at all . since out of warranty I opened it up( I am a electronic specialist). the tilt gear house built into the unit was jammed i could use my hand to move it but the unit would grind when it tried to do it on its own, so I disconnected the axis wiring and just use the panning part , the other will freeze up and i have to rock it back and for with the camera controls to get it going again later its froze again. The biggest issue I have is ever one I contact at Boavision about parts to repair this I don't even get a response from them but they sure send the ads. I like the pictures and video and want to expand my coverage but not with these as to no real help to get when I need help. the variable zoom and focus are the best ones to buy. these ran me $80 to $100 each and took weeks to get.

Hey Chris, love your vids. Can you help me with a cheap outdoor cam like this that has auto tracking and goes to a preset point after tracking? I tested 5 IP cams from Ali and all go back to default/startup point wich is useless if the camera is mounted in a corner or high on a ceiling. Then the default looks straight into a wall or is to high to auto track motion.

Go to the night vision menu and select full color it's the middle choice and lights turn on at the touch of finger.

Mine is using CamHi app and once that is used to setup the cam right from the start and after I can be in Florida or Michigan or anywhere in between and works fine, I use Blue Iris for all my cams and that allow me to configure different postions at different time and does all the recording based on what ever setter for that spot. Only Issue I had is there seems to be little or none support since covid, oh yeah, I can hear from any cam but sound can be iffy to none. Good Luck!

Yes Adobe but it's no longer supported. You'll have to download an IP cam viewer to view. I have an app installed on my fire tv.

Hello buddy. I would like to ask how to reset the camera. I have the hx-hd20m24as model and the problem is with the connection. It doesn't see the name of this ipcam camera on the wifi list and it keeps showing the wrong password despite various configurations, whether it's due to sound waves or a 4G camera, battery powered, because there are various options in the camhipro application and this inscription: wrong password. Previously it worked all the time, but now it doesn't. Maybe the Wi-Fi module in the camera is broken, but it doesn't see the camera on the Wi-Fi list and that's why I keep writing the wrong password. Need quick help on how to reset the camera? I typed in the IP address in the browser to view online and change my settings but when i enter admin, it says there was a error... any ideas on a fix?

Did you set a password in the app first? If yes you need to use that when login. Otherwise try do a factory reset. What browser are you using by the way? Maybe try a different browser. Some cameras only work with Internet explorer unfortunately which is outdated.

@abc123456789 simple, first go to "SD plan recording" make sure it's turned off, then do to "alarm management and notification" enable "motion detection alarm" then scroll down to "alarm linkage" and toggle "alarm recording to SD card" that's it. Important! All alarm SD recorded files are a maximum of 15 seconds only, that's plenty time to be alarmed check live feed and manually continue recording. Make sure you toggle receive alarm push at the very top to be notified. Let me know if this helped.

At their request, I sent a detailed video several times, but they don't seem to watch it, and each time they request a new video with the same message and ask to wait, almost a month has passed, there is no sense. As a result, this seller does not have any service guarantees for his products, if you buy, be prepared to just throw away your money.
