Its so nice to see them playing such an old song but in their adult period. With such a warm video, what a gift to all the Wailers fans worldwide. And the song sounds in 1979 as fresh as an original recorded version of 1967. Oh, what a BAND!

This version of Hypocrite was great live! There's an expectation that the owners of Marley's rights will launch some unreleased material recording in the years to come. If we look at what we are commercially available or on the internet, Bob always rerecorded his songs or Wailers songs from the '60s or the beginning of '70s, pre-Island Records. For example, the rerecording of versions of Small Axe, Concrete Jungle and Put it on (Burnin', 1973), Lively Up Yourself (NattyDread, 1974), Night Shift (RastaMan Vibration, 1976), One Love (Exodus, 1977), Kaya, Satisfy my Soul [a.k.a. Don't rock my boat] (Kaya, 1978). In Tuff Gong sessions, we have Soul Shake Up (a.k.a. Soul Shakedown Party); in tour rehearsals, there's Soul Rebel (USA, 1978), Keep on Moving and Bass is Heavy (USA, 1980). Live we have Nice Time (NattyDread tour, 1975), Simmer Down (Wonder Dream Concert, Jamaica, 1975), Lion of Judah (RastaMan Vibration tour, 1976, and One Love Peace Concert, 1978) and So Long Rastafari (Kaya tour, 1978). If including some acoustic testing jams, there are a lot of beautiful versions of recorded and unrecorded songs. I hope that we have the opportunity to listen others Bob's rerecorded songs in the studio, rehearsals, soundchecks, or live versions. Selah.

You could've added "Bend Down Low" to NattyDread... There's also Stiff Necked Fools that had its roots in the 60's... 👍👍

@@aframaco9491 That's probably why they performed it, to connect with their earlier local roots. I've heard that as Bob became a global superstar, his appeal to Jamaicans waned somewhat.

@@elywananda That is reasonable to understand! It's like when a ripple occurs in a body of water. The ripple effect begins to wane on the inner circle as the ripples span out from the core on the water!! Which is ironic , because 43 years after his passing, Bob Marley remains the most recognised and celebrated Jamaican figure ever!! No other Jamaican comes close! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!

I believe in 1981 his next album would’ve been confrontation aka Bass is heavy and the setlist would’ve been 1. Bass Is Heavy 2. Hypocrites 3. Slogans 4. Wounded Lion 5. Blackman Redemption 6. Rastaman Live Up 7. Chant Down Babylon 8. Jump Nyabinghi 9. Buffalo Soldier 10. Trench Town 11. Stiff Necked Fools 12. African Herbsman 13. Soul Rebel 14. Soul Shake Up Party 15. Mix Up Mix Up 16. Give Thanks and Praises 17. I Know 18. Who Colt The Game 19. I Know A place 20. Pomps And Pride Yes Ik it’s a lot of songs for an album itself but out all of those this Could’ve or Would’ve been his next album for 1981 if he still lived during that time

You could never be alone. From one is tuned in the truth those great leaders then, now, forevermore, knows who if one doesn't know themselves. In other words, from ones intentions are true, your gut feeling's tells you because you already know the truth. So when one sways away seeing the light 🕯️ is those great leaders guidance. So being alone is never so. Jamming, oh yes ones definition fron the Father only, not Man's definition. Know your place, then ones lane is forward on, distractions are kicked away. One Love.
