Bob Marley's sexual magnetism was on full display from this performance of the song, "Hypocrites" from the Reggae Sun splash Festival 1979. Marley even seems to convey a sense of femininity. During the performance Marley transforms into the actual lion of Judah. When I discover these types of performances by Marley it often makes me wonder what type of women he could have conquered in this time. As a man I would love to have his charisma. I know that Beyonce has talked highly of him and if Beyonce does not see him as her dad I would believe that she would have loved to be one of Marley's conquests. Personally I have always wonder what type of kid could Marley had produce with country legend Emmylou Harris. It's hard to believe that just barely two years after this performance Bob would succumb to cancer. I have no doubt that Marley, along with many others like him, shall inherit the earth and why he was and still is the undisputed, "King of Reggae!"

Met Bob as a kid in the Bronx sometime around 1977 -78 on Grant Avenue and 169 Street. A lot of entertainers would stop by, artists like "Sleepy" Horace Andy, Michigan and Smiley and many more. To this day I can't tell who they came to visit, or why they were there, all I know is that seeing videos of Bob, Sleepy and the other artists brings back a lot of memories. Respect to di legend, Bob Marley. Sleep well bredren, sleep well.

I always use this song as a reference to non-Jamaican bass players who try to play reggae bass-lines and fail. In this style of music the bass player has to sit right slightly lazily behind the beat -- not directly on top of it. This cannot be practiced -- has to felt or you'll be too far behind or too far in front.

Cuz it’s a rare live version which he only sang it once and only concert but never had the opportunity to make a remake version of it cuz if bob was still alive I guarantee you that around 1981-1982 he would’ve made another album with Hypocrites, African Herbsman, Soul Rebel like a Remake version and along with the other songs from the confrontation album
