About 15 years ago I had a burn out and my life stood still. And then, one day, when I played Bob Marley with this number (lively up yourself) I started to feel some energy again and carefully danced on his music. It slowly made me feel alive again. This is still one of my favorite songs, I have a precious memory of it; it really makes people lively up theirselves

I can remember the Natty Dread album being on the turntable, playing this song, windows open with cool breeze blowing the sent of my parents getting lively. "Get in the car kids we're going to the beach." Good times

The Wailers are the band. The I-Threes are the backup singers. From left to right: Judy Mowatt, Rita Marley (Bob's wife) and Marcia Griffiths. Not many realize that Marcia Griffiths is the singer of everyone's favorite wedding dance: her song "Electric Boogie" is....The Electric Slide! There's a suggestion for ya! Great reaction! So glad you over this!! I was at the concert back in 77 it was held on the evening of my last day at Uni in London so we all went done to this to celebrate liberation... "When the music hits, you feel no pain" Trenchtown Rock check ithat sone out and the whole Rainbow concert 😉

I recall a vacation to Jamaica with my mom when I was 16. We went during Sunsplash I attended with a man named Malcolm and one of the groups played this in Bob Marleys memory. Catch a fire Bob Marley 🔥

Check out Bob on the Old Grey whistle test. Bob, Pete tosh and bunny wailer. No video recorders then, you either got home to watch it or missed it. Bob doing concrete jungle and stir it up is one of my all time favourites. Effortless talent.
