He also wrote in his recent memoir that he dislikes having to memorize a standup routine and then repeat it over and over. He admitted in his book that sketches are his true love and comic strength. He did add later in the book that he wasn’t too sure on dramatic acting in a big budget show, but he says Bryan Cranston helped him get into character a lot easier, and that wearing Saul’s outrageous suits immersed him in the role.

Amazing this sounds the pretext for Better Call Saul. The part where he wants to help those on the show COPS. Even the part about relationships, shades of Kim Wexler

It's amazing how much has carried through over 20 years. Better Call Saul is such the perfect show for his personality / style. Love it.

He’s really hit the big time. To think that he was a starving artist less than a quarter century ago. Now he’s got triples of the Barracuda, the Roadrunner, and now the Nova.

Cuz that deal's a sure thing now. Plus, luckily, his wife is gonna pull through and be okay! He had a poster of her on the wall in his garage. And he doesn't live in a hotel!

Hello. I’m a French lady. I’ve just discovered Bob Odenkirk in «Breaking Bad » as Saul Goodman. He is a very handsome and funny actor. He looks like Kevin Costner. 🤩 What an amazing actor!! 😍😍😍😍

All these Breaking Bad people.. Bob Odenkirk was legend status after Mr. Show and all the Tim & Eric (especially Tom Goes to the Mayor) stuff. He's not Saul, Saul is one of many incredible roles he's performed.

"Better Call Saul" had the most-viewed pilot episode in television history. He ain't Saul, but the role has earned him more accolades and influence than anything before it. I'm not knocking his previous stuff, it was brilliant. But the material he's working with now, that he has been working with since 2009, is unmatched across the board.

My comment was before Better Call Saul existed. I love the show.. I can't wait to see the fourth episode tomorrow. All I was saying was anyone who knows Bob Odenkirk would never refer to him as "the guy who plays Saul Goodman." People who think that are jumping on the bandwagon a bit too late.
