18:35 gets me every time. Bob talks about Hoot almost like he was his own child, talking about how he's all grown up and living his own life. Sounds much like how a father would describe their own child after they leave the nest, so to speak. *Good Pain*

Here's my happy little pet lion, raised him from a cub. That's my wolf, he just hopped into my car last week so I took him home with me. Cutest little devil. Oh, and here's all my sharks; made friends with them, and I try to make time to swim with them at least twice a week.

I think the reason Bob was so great was mainly due to his love of nature. It's impossible to create such beautiful works of art time after time without a profound love for nature and natural beauty. There's a little saying for photographers...'to be a better photographer, become a better human', and I feel Bob Ross, while obviously it's not photography, is testament to that saying. Such a shame he was taken so early he had so much left to give I believe.

I haven't seen this episode in years. It brought me to happy tears. Seeing my old friend playing in my grandma's (the bird lady's) backyard with all of the animals she rescued brought back memories. He was a truly wonderful man who adored animals and people so deeply. I feel so fortunate to have known him.

I know this comment is 3 years old, but I just want to say your grandma was amazing! I didn't know that she knew him until today! My husband and I watch his videos to help us sleep and I got so excited seeing this! I remember going to her house a few times back in high school. She was so kind and showed me all of her birds. I even got to pet Grey Cloud. She's what made me love birds! You definitely had the coolest grandma ❤️
