Here is a quick way I highlight grassy areas. This is just one method of making grass look like grass. More to come. Hope this is helpful for someone out there. Please send questions my way.

Did anybody else notice the whistling in the background? Had to stop the video to check if it was from the clip or at my home :D Thanks for the video Bram! Helped me out on my art journey :)

Great as always! As much as I love your livestream and longform painting videos, It can be overwhelming trying to pick out bits of wisdom when you're an hour in to a painting. These more to the point videos are gonna be a great learning tool, I can already tell.

Very informative with lots of tips and techniques I have been struggling with. This video will help sort those out a bit. Thank you! My big question is how do you keep the canvas on that wood framework from falling off? Is there something behind holding against the canvas framework to keep it steady? I have been trying to adjust my easel so I can easily get paint to the top and bottom of the canvas with the brushes. Looks like your setup works well for that. Just curious.

You make it look so easy! Your undercoat paint looks very dry, like the dark color under the highlight.
@paintwithbram3 жыл бұрын
It has to be or it will not work. If you have to, put your dark colors on a paper towel to dry them out a bit.

Is there a rule of thumb so to speak, in keeping the sky and Mountains ect. the same color?

Hi Bram! Was so cool finding you on tiktok last night. Loved the painting. I know youre super busy but i cant get anyone to answer this for me and the books arent very clear. Some of bobs paintings like "blue river" for instance, does he not use liquid clear after the coat of black jesso? It looks like hes just putting paint color down with no clear to start the painting on. I hope that makes sense. I so appreciate your time and expertise. I only have about 15 paintings under my belt. Thanks again and have a great day!
@paintwithbram Жыл бұрын
Easy one. Bob didn't always have liquid clear. I think it wasn't until around season 10. You can paint any of the scenes without it but a medium does make it easier to apply the paint

@Paint with Bram Thank you, thank you, thank you! I really appreciate it. There were so many paintings i wanted to do, but this stumped me. I appreciate your time and again, thanks for the tutorials. I finally finished my wifes mothers day pic last night with some damn fine bushes i must say! 😊

I followed it pretty well... until I got to the bare sticks at the end. I cannot get that fine line tapering to points!! But what a great video.

Is the base liquid white or clear please?
@tracybuford72253 жыл бұрын
Bram. Are you using a regular 1" brush to do this or the 1" oval?
@paintwithbram3 жыл бұрын
I was actually using the 2 inch brush. The 1 would work the same but it doesn't cover as much ground.

Being quite concerned with fine arts, I have a question. Is there any way to make sure nothing whatsoever to do with Bob Ross is ever recommended to me again? Thanks.
