Very informative with lots of tips and techniques I have been struggling with. This video will help sort those out a bit. Thank you! My big question is how do you keep the canvas on that wood framework from falling off? Is there something behind holding against the canvas framework to keep it steady? I have been trying to adjust my easel so I can easily get paint to the top and bottom of the canvas with the brushes. Looks like your setup works well for that. Just curious.

You make it look so easy! Your undercoat paint looks very dry, like the dark color under the highlight.

Is there a rule of thumb so to speak, in keeping the sky and Mountains ect. the same color?

Hi Bram! Was so cool finding you on tiktok last night. Loved the painting. I know youre super busy but i cant get anyone to answer this for me and the books arent very clear. Some of bobs paintings like "blue river" for instance, does he not use liquid clear after the coat of black jesso? It looks like hes just putting paint color down with no clear to start the painting on. I hope that makes sense. I so appreciate your time and expertise. I only have about 15 paintings under my belt. I followed it pretty well... until I got to the bare sticks at the end. I cannot get that fine line tapering to points!! But what a great video.

Is the base liquid white or clear please?

Bram. Are you using a regular 1" brush to do this or the 1" oval?
