He was the Father of ASMR without even realizing it.

I don't mean to be insufferably pedantic. But given the frequency of this claim, it's worth noting a couple of clarifications. Firstly, for all practical purposes, he did know about the tranquil effect his show had for many. He references his awareness of some viewers telling him they watched and fell asleep to his show no later than season 12. Moreover, given ASMR is a pleonastic, frankly new age, colloquialism used to refer to a constellation of sensations commonly experienced by people during states of relaxation, it represented nothing previously unknown or scientifically novel even when the term ASMR was itself new. Hence, ASMR does not represent anything he would not have known about provided he knew his presentation was relaxing, which as just noted he did know. Finally, as for ASMR as a genre, Bob Ross clips and recordings began proliferating on KZfaq after the former came into its own and, in short order, contributed content to the genre. It would, however, be incorrect to say Bob Ross and his JoP created the genre, which was fundamentally grassroots product of individual content creators on KZfaq and a couple of other media hosting sites.

He was not only The God of ASMR, he also teaches peoples lots of easy tips to draw. Because of him, I learned how to draw a realistic mountain!

Water lines are the #1 asmr from Bob Ross except his very first show where he used some kind of tool to scratch out twigs and sticks.

I always looked forward to the “water line part” in every painting. Now I have lots in one place! Thanks much!
