Julianna Lugo I think it is liquid white. The thin layer he puts on at the start. Titanium white is one of the colours he uses. :)

That’s cause Bob uses the wet-on-wet technique and goes against fat over lean, while others use wet-on-dry and follows the fat over lean rule

I also use these to fall asleep. Nice and calming. Only other videos I keep coming back to for sleeping are Danny from game grumps solo play throughs of space quest. Nice soft spoken gameplay without whispering (kinda like bob, but Dan gets excited from time to time and raises his voice). And nice retro 80s sound effects. Truly a happy accident dan had to work alone without his co host.

This looks peaceful until you try to paint along with him. He mixes so fast! And he does it on the spot. What do you mean another dry brush? I used all my brushes already! Ten pauses and an hour later I finally caught up. Lol this man is a beast of an artist.

As a kid, I used to come home from school so excited to watch him on PBS. I was always so amazed with how he could create an entire scene in just minutes. His personality was so calming and much needed after a stressful day. This man is a legend.

They do that? My art teacher is probably one of the most chill people i know (except for when students are disrupting the class). Most of the time he even allows you to do something else art related.

I still remember when Nob was doing his paintings on PBS. My Mom and my mother-in-law were devotees of Bob's and have fond memories of watching him with both. I miss him, but what a great legacy. Thank you for bringing him back to us and creating new artists. ❤

this man was a sergeant in the air force. i couldn't even imagine him yelling at someone giving them orders. he even said when he retired from the air force he wouldn't raise his voice again. He also said after a long day like that, painting was his peace.

EVERY TIME. It goes from a blah of blended colors to DEPTH AND DETAIL. And he does it in like 4 brush strokes. Gets me every time

I love how Bob is a teacher at heart. This is the 10th season, but he still goes into detail but his techniques like this is season1 episode 1 to ensure everyone can paint like him.

This is great for anxiety. Sometimes he will (in my mind) mess up the painting somehow or get too much color on one of the lumps of paint when he's mixing them. But he always stays so calm and makes sure to remind you that it is a painting and can easily be fixed with just a few brush strokes. I feel like the whole show is a work of art because it teaches so many lessons while also being an amazing stress and anxiety reliever. Great show!

we didn't deserve this man, he is so pure. The way he smiles/laughs after washing his brushes. When he says he doesn't know what he's doing because it's all coming together as one. How he always paints mountains and they are beautiful. I'm so sad this man left, Bob, i hope you're happy. Keep this comment section in lowercase and positivity please.
