I love her naturally rasp in her low register, very unique, very bluesy. Just all around tragic. My son asked me yesterday about Whitney, and what happened to her. He was one when she passed away. I began to weep. I told him, you really want to know? Her demons ate her, they were demons she never deserved to have. Whitney was a well known smoker, Clive Davis is on record as having confronted her numerous times about it but she honestly never needed to quit for vocal quality. Bobbi may have been a smoker, but she developed the blues through her smoking, and her tragedies. She sadly was collateral in all of those tragedies, she couldn’t live without her mom. I told my son, it’s just one of the most tragic stories in pop history.

She has a voice for alternative indie music! Forcing her to be like her mother because she's the daughter of Whitney or the daughter of Bobby is absolutely ridiculous. The moment she opened her mouth you could tell what direction her voice leaned to. It was beautiful! Even if they kept her in r&b or black pop you have to fit the voice. Seeing this again as an adult makes me sad Should've asked her to sing an Amy winehouse song

@@zeusincoming282 Umm that's not all true Whitney did I will always love acapella(no special effects) and it got on the radio when they were worried(her music record label) that it would not make it on the radio because of that. Kevin Costner did an interview about it. You can Google it or look at the interview. She also did the Star Spangled Banner acapella live. I'm not saying she never used studio magic. I'm saying she didn't always do that because she can really sang and sung the song outright at times. I know some singers use it to rest their voice as well. People forget before auto tunes and what ever else that's used now people really had to sing and it was on vinyl records with no special anything.

Whitney Houston was a vocal prodigy. Her voice is the platinum standard of what a woman's voice should be. Whitney's rendition of the star spangled banner is noted by critics as being the definitive version of the national anthem in history of the song. There aren't enough superlatives to describe how awesome Whitney was. I love the way she sung live. ( KZfaq HER SONG "THIS DAY"), I'm supremely confident that you will be impressed. She was the rare artist who could interpret a live vocal performance in a million different ways and make it sound better than the studio version. Her ability to play with melody was underrated genius. Listening to her sing was pure ambrosia. Whitney Elizabeth Houston was a "Tour De Force" and left an unmatched musical legacy. May God bless always Bobbi Kristina. She is a gifted, beautiful, courageous young woman.

I rarely comment on the blogs, but I thought it was necessary in Bobbi Kristina's case because I am not happy with the way some people are treating her because of who her parents are. It seems a bit unfair to me how people can be so cruel to someone that they've never met before. I wish Bobbi Kristina all the best that life has to offer her. What I find funny is when the person is still alive and kicking there's so much hate. But when they're close to death everyone that hated them start saying "Oh lord help her" or "I hope they're alright". What hell? I swear most people call other hypocrite but if you do that shit you the most hypocritical person there is. Writing all the threats and hate comments like demons, but when they're on their death bed you wanna look like angels. Just like MJ, he had a-lot of hate and as soon as MJ drop death from the face of the planet all his haters started feeling bad for him. I swear, people say mean shit about stars, call them back-stabbers, and other bad things when we're no different from them.

Lol. I think her top half of her face, especially her eyes, looks a bit more like Whitney, and the bottom half's all Bobby.

Tyler Perry I LOVE the gap in her two front teeth. It didn't do Madonna any harm. I just think it always looks so cute. I can't stand this, "Let's all look identical to each other" crap. Why is there no room for physical imperfections any more (particularly in women...)? Homogeneous, boring, crap. Everybody so terrified of displaying any possible sign of individuality. It's sad.

aerialkate That is such bull! If you had that gap, you would get braces. It has nothing to do with individuality. If she were cross eyed, would you say she is such an individual to leave those eyed crossed? Don't think so.

Its sad that people say they miss them so much, but helped put them in their graves because of unkind words. You think they don’t care and know how the public talked and ridiculed them? They know. This was tragic and still hurts. RIP Whitney & Bobbi ❤

I can’t imagine being made to believe I had to live up to one of THE greatest singers of all time…. Like that’s enough to make you want to check out of life…. Imagine the number of people who told her she wasn’t good enough or asked why she didn’t have he mothers voice…. Not understanding that she’s still a product of two great artists and is bound to have her OWN voice.

You can tell with voice coaching, sleep, exercise, vitamins. whole foods, plenty of H20, laying of cigarettes and not being high during a world televised interview; she has a good singing voice .

To all of the people saying negative stuff about her voice and how she shouldn't have tried pursuing a singing career..... Her singing voice is in the same league as Brittany Spears and she became an icon with that voice she has. Right marketing, songs and production could have made Bobbi and star too! So kick rocks with your weak opinions! RIP baby girl!
