@repGuts Jay offered him everything if he would give him the rights to Reasonable Doubt. He said no that was stupid! They all walk away with millions. Jay flipped his to and may become a billionaire. Dame went bankrupt. There are plenty of people who can put the same grind in the Dame put in. There aren't plenty of people who pen hit record after record for over a decade.

His point is that Jay had financial goals that would be easier to reach if he wasn't splitting all the proceeds with partners. Obviously, if you're only making half as much money, your wealth will grow at half the speed. If you're getting 1/3 the money, your wealth will grow at 1/3 the speed. Etc.

I don't agree with his analysis. Jay Z owns perhaps .67% of the Nets. Tell me he's not sharing ownership with others. How do you think Puffy was able to start up Sean John and Ciraq? He had to find investors which in turn means he had to share profits and ownership. I heard that Damon Dash made a lot of frivolous business moves. In other words, he fell off. I'm not on Jay Z's dick but let's talk about facts instead of feelings.
@ndabstract110 жыл бұрын
Recheck your figures....He does not own 67% or .67. He actually only owns 1/8th percent of the team. Not even a whole 1 percent, which equates to 0.125. He was used by the Russian as the face of the Nets so that the Russian would be able to acquire, or rather bamboozle, the people of Brooklyn out of their property in order to build the stadium. So, basically JayZ was big pimped by the Russian to sell out his people and his community to the Russian. But the people will love him anyway...
@bokay390010 жыл бұрын
0.67% which is less than 1%
@bokay390010 жыл бұрын
We're told Kidd will take over Jay's .067 percent (1/15th of a percent) stake in the team for about $500,000. […] A source told us, "Other owners want to give Jason a part ownership of the team, and urged Jay to sell his shares to him."
@bokay390010 жыл бұрын
My point is that Jay Z is still not getting all the dough.
@bokay390010 жыл бұрын
Zoe Spencer And, I totally agree with your point. Jay Z is nothing more than a mascot for the Brooklyn Nets.
@kdeezo32611 жыл бұрын
You are correct, sir.
@ndabstract110 жыл бұрын
We are here....LOL...Just correcting the figures, because. .67 would translate to 67%....But, I thought that's what you meant. We definitely agree.

Jay and Dame started Rocafella together... it's even in one of the Documentaries back in the "Streets is Watching" days. Dame's bro is actually sounding more objective about it. Others, mostly Dip set supporters claim Jay Z was shunning Dame because of bringing in Cam, but watching Jay-Z's business moves (40/40 club, the Vodka) he was positioning to split. Dame tried to lock Jay in, so through Def Jam Jay countered. And won. Seems arrogance brought Dame down. Just my take from the info out there

Everybody you named is alone at the Top of their company getting the Top money... LOL. You just proved HIS point. I know what you tryin' to say, but if your not splitting paper from your business three ways, your ascension is much quicker. Plus, Dame was trying to be just as big a star as Jay. Most companies in that situation has a figure head, and "Silent" partners. Sorta like Biggs... It was great seeing them work together, but Dame did start feelin' himself over his role.
