I ditto this statement ❌ ♾‼️ 🎊🎉 (I’m MO-OBVIOUSLY 🤓) SNL has not been great in yeeeeeeaaaars, since Will Farrell, Will Forte, Kristen Wiig💖 Anyways It was SO so so so weird it felt like Madtv just left the Air... I actually googled wtf happened to Madtv & the Magazines etc idk like .... 2007-2010?..”what happened to Madtv”!!? Cuz I always remembered since day 1... me, my friends & family & the water cooler talk was alwaaays MADTV IS THE BOMB ... it was usually light years ahead of SNL for funny... but I kept searching & searching internet & there was just NO info.. then they had that reunion show that needed (imo) to be on like a Telethon for a month... & now TG I stumbled on Tigerbelly podcast due to one of my fave & most unique comedians- Theo Von- so I’m getting back to a lil bit of MADTV hilarity & the truth behind how did it get cancelled when it seemed SOOOO wildly popular!? But maybe it was more subjective than I thought!? Sorta like how yes there are people that HATE & are close to despising the Beloved Seinfeld 😬(YES ME!) Yet enjoyed Larry David!? I just have always sniffed this Gross overboiling Narcissism from Jerry Seinfeld- And I’ve always been frustrated 🤮 over that looonng Whining complaining Lazy statement w/ Seinfeld (which Larry David also does) & the god awful laugh track would go NUTS & I Was just always staring at the screen like how is this show this popular!? Which is incredible to me because as a 37 yr old female - I truly have a 7th grader Gross, filthy, Ironic & Self Deprecating Funny Bone.

Still remember laying on the foot of my parents’ bed waiting for MAD TV to come on and flying into a rage when my sister would turn the channel to SNL. Really glad that in retrospect, MAD TV has aged wayyyyy better than SNL.

I loved both. It was pretty annoying for me that they were on at the same time. For me it was watching Mad for half and hour until SNL came on then flip back and forth. One thing i do notice is that for some reason SNL is brought up in every comment section on videos about Mad TV but there's never a comment about Mad under an SNL video. It's like some of the Mad fandom is insecure and need reassurance that it's ok to like Mad. Relax , snowflakes :P

I grew up with madtv miss it so much it's one of my favorite all time comedy sketch comedy shows for me it's up there with in living color wish we could have it again on tv madtv got away with lots of things snl has got nothing on madtv this was ahead of it's time

It took me a minute to remember him, because on Madtv he looked like a teenager. I remember at the end of one show, he did the goodbye, and said he had to go, because it was past his bedtime curfew.

I always thought madtv ended in the late 90's and I was too busy and broke being young AF in the early 2000's to afford cable, but somehow Bobby was my favorite cast member. I'm stilling trying to figure that one out

Taran is a star in snl but never really stand out and was overshadowed by a lot of actors when he was in mad tv. It just goes to show the caliber of the comedians in the show there back in the days.

@@valkirie19 I left the military in 2014 and hard such a hard fucking struggle. It took an honest suicide attempt and a stay in a psych ward for me to finally seek for help for myself. I'm 3 years past that now and doing really well. In 2014 I had no support system, like many vets then, I don't know when you got out. But, I didn't feel supported at all. I'm glad I didn't become another one of the 22 a day. Mental health takes self discipline and it's up to you ultimately, I definitely do understand what you're saying. I have a great support system of friends now.
