Even if I am not part of any religion, I feel that is important to listen to what people are saying about their faith. And I do feel/understand what he means, as the vast majority of people in the world, spiritually and musically. What he's saying is beyond religion, and this sounds to me deep, necessary... now more than ever...

This good man's music helped me raise three terrific kids all by myself. I will love him forever!!!!!!!!! 💙😘🎶🤩💚

Incredible work by using Bible scriptures to put music together I grew up hearing Bobby McFerrin I remember my dad would play it in the car and I reunite to him when I take him for a drive the biggest jazz icon that can sing and do jazz vocals

I'm glad he feels so. About being positive. But there is something to angry or sad music. It might make you more angry or more sad....for a bit -BUT- music that typically is seen as having a negative emotion....makes people feel not alone. The loneliness of being the ONLY one, makes you shut down and surprise emotions to survive. So something that makes you feel more (whether it's positive or negative) is a good kind of healthy. Rebellious music for those in a bad spot, abused and trapped by toxic authority. Show-boat music for those who (though obviously hiding behind insecurities themselves) want to make others and themselves feel better about themselves - even if it evokes tribalism that they were definitely victim of. Sad music to help keep them old contacts (broken glasses) wet when you cant afford the drops. Just sharing the joy of having. Just sharing the feeling of not being alone in a messed up situation. Just the fight to not give up all hope ever. To tell someone in a bad spot to just be happy is salt in the cut. It's great for him that he likes to spread positivity, and he does a great job of that. But there is something still nice to be said about musicians who end up pushing another form of expression. Even most music about drugs, has lyrics on the consequences to the person (and the ones they love from) taking drugs - illegal or not. Point is.... Music. End of rant

Not such thing as an angry Christian? Angry is not Christian is human emotion that every single person on the planet has experienced. I believe in Christ and sometimes I get angry. I am sure I am not alone. But I do believe that we should aim to control that behavior. And when we fall short ask forgiveness and repent and find new was to deal with that natural emotion. I admire and respect his body of work and aim for even 2% of the technical breath work he has. He’s the reason I song for the first time watching Sesame Street. I never stop sing after that show I was very young under 7 years.
