The now 26 year old rapper from East Flatbush, Brooklyn was taken into custody all the way back in December 2014 and was held inside Rikers Island while awaiting his trial. It wasn’t until September 2, 2016 when Bobby Shmurda eventually accepted a plea deal that gave him a 7 year sentence with two years of credit given to Bobby for the time he already served. Once his sentence is completed, Bobby Shmurda is required to be on probation for 5 whole years. When the sentence was first given to Bobby, his lawyers thought for sure that he would be out in 3 and a half years, which later led to the entire internet thinking Bobby Shmurda would be released in December of 2020. When i got booked. I had 5 co-defedants..They wanted me so my bail was the highest. I bailed all 5 co-defendants out..and waited.3 months til my bail dropped..then bailed myself out. 4 out of the 5 co-d's went on the run so i lost all that bail money. I thought i was the last of a dying breed..but i see bobby had some solid old heads and was taught right..cut from the same cloth.
