Holy hell look at those birds work! Shoutout to the callers who called for like 3+ minutes straight. Nice vid Bob! Awesome as ever.
@adamr92153 жыл бұрын
They were probably using my electronic callers. Conservation season allows a lot of stuff that normally isn’t allowed. Edit, ok, maybe they weren’t using e-callers. They were working the heck out of the calls.

@@david-kt4sw I duck hunted public land in Texas and bagged out all but the last couple days. The last couple of weeks were dead everywhere around me. What exactly do you consider good? Down on the coast, I dropped my limit with one shot. 100% unintentionally, I wasn’t expecting that many birds to come off the water into one bunch, but there were plenty of birds.

I remember sitting in the Delta of Mississippi watching mallards do this in the best timber hole I’ve ever hunted. Watching more birds than one could count. No bands no shooting. When we would shoot it would be over so fast there was no reason in going. The hunts we didn’t shoot are some of the most memorable. Just watch ducks funnel in for hours was unreal!

When I lived in northern Minnesota, if the sun came out If it was above freezing with no wind, we ran around in T-shirts. I have pics of my kids in shorts on top of 5ft snow drifts. It's just what you are used to. I have seen guys get sunburned ice fishing with their shirts off.
@danielt.31522 жыл бұрын
I am from central Illinois, totally agree you get a acclimated to the cold, I usually did not wear gloves hunting until if was below 10F. In fact I refuse to shoot with gloves on, when I see geese/ducks coming I slip off the right hand glove I feel like like better accuracy without gloves

I believe that really small Canada you got is a subspecies called a cackler, just based on the small head and body.

I have heard guys refer to lesser Canadas as cacklers the term seems interchangeable but I am not a sub species expert, but there are quite a few subspecies
