That would be the producer - but, nah. It was never actually removed, and was centrally located in the background. You can’t really replace a prop like that because there isn’t ample time. It’s not as if the cameras were concentrated on it.

On the Harmontown podcast #159 Bobcat talks about this. He specifically wore boots because he intended to kick a $3,000 monitor. Arseno tackled him at one point and whispered "thank you". When he got home his 8 year old daughter said to Bobcat, "sometimes I don't think you have a brain in your head" : ) thanks for uploading!

Unlike Jay leno, Arsenio let him trash the place and he thanked him for it. Arsenio talks about it in an interview. Thanks to this moment here, we learned just how hard Paramount was screwing Arsenio over. He thought no one else knew about and Bobcat made it public here and he was a 'ride or die' arsenio hall fan... ANNNNNNND, they have history. They've known eachother for a looong time.
