The 2023-2024 Maine Bobcat season has begun. We welcomed some early snow that has brought us some fantastic conditions unlike last season. We have taken full advantage of these conditions.
In this video you will find that our first hunt of the season ended in success but not without a few set backs. The hounds did a great job and finished strong, with this special pack I’m not sure things would have ended the way they did. Proud of all the hounds!

Sam Natole is a Registered Maine guide and has spent most of his life in the Maine woods hunting bobcat and black bear. He is now ready to share his experiences and knowledge through a series of videos which will include training tutorials, actual live hunts, and stories from the past. Great dogs, is it productive to hunt bobcat with only one hound? I was just curious if you need several dogs to catch up to a cat. I’m in Michigan.

No. Only the big Tom’s. And not all of them either.

Cool! There are a lot of hound hunters out there that shoot everything they catch which is not good in my opinion.
