Screw the haters. As much as I enjoy the shop videos (especially with the ongoing startup of the new shop), these “new” family videos are getting better and better, as the rest of the family gets more involved in the videos, home maintenance, and business startup. I agree with you no matter what Ray does it's going to be some haters out there that got something to say but most of them are probably sitting in their arm care running their mouth you know hey I'm glad he's got the kids involved and plus you know just it's a good outlet for stress and outlet for lattend hostilety demolition I love it have a great day and a merry Christmas

That is fantastic that you include your son to help you with some of the work. When I was your sons age my dad did the same thing. Most of the time I would follow him around like a little lost puppy. Damn I sure do miss him.

Like others have said... getting the "young-uns" involved is the BEST. I still remember, when I was 'bout your son's age, "helping" my Dad in the garage and getting full of grease. Mom wasn't so pleased but it is such a good memory.

I hope you realize how much your son will remember when he helped dad with the fence posts. These are awesome memories for both of you. He is learning valuable lessons that are fun. Keep it up so when he is doing it for himself he will always remember you teaching him.

The last two minutes or so were the best, seeing you teach your son how to do things like this gives me faith there are still guys like us that can do things like this and pass it along to the next generation. We're old school but new generation savvy, a unique position but with the old school ethics. It's a unique blend but it proves you don't have to sacrifice values and morals to stay up with the times. You're an awesome father and I always enjoy seeing your time with your family ( running from mom through the property at night was epic). I would say never change but it ain't gonna happen, you found your way and it's not going to change, totally understand that. Never forget to have yourself a great day 👊

i love to see a parent who lets there kids help and join in it teaches them how to do things they would not otherwise learn, and its always good to see kids getting there hands dirty an not sitting in front of a screen , and in a few years your kids can run the bob cat and you can sit in a comfy chair with a cool drink and supervise 😉

A brush hog is cleaner but in Florida it will be back in 6 months and 4" high. Gotta remove the roots.

THIS WAS AWESOME!! I do not care what channel that you put these videos on, they are awesome, and nice to see you out of the shop and with family. Wife Unit is simply incredible all around. It nice incredible to see you and your son working together, and watching him gain knowledge from dad very much reminds of projects we did when he was young and as he grew. You are truly a blessed man with a work ethic almost unheard of in this day and age and watching it getting paid forward is simply wonderful. As well as the love you have for your family is truly a wonderful breath of fresh air. Thank you for all of your wonderful videos... and the incredible amount of work that goes into not only making the content, but also the incredible amount of work put in to get them out. I pray that tomorrow will be a day of much needed rest and family... I've "known" you long enough to know that isn't an option with you, you simply never turn off. In a way you remind me of myself at your age. Much love n prayers from upstate NY.🙏💜

One thing you might want to think of if you are going to use wooden fence post on your new fence that will help make them last a lot longer and that you can get plenty of in your new shop. Soaking the ends of the fence post that are going to be in the ground in use motor oil will do a lot to prevent wood rot. Also, if you plan on building a wire fence that has to be tensioned to hold the wires up, if you can get hold of some old power line poles, cut them 15 foot long, dig ten foot deep holes in the ground, then pack the soil around the poles really good, you will have end post and corner post that can stand by themselves without bracing. That H shaped structure of posts with the twisted wire pulling them tight against each other.

That's funny. We try like crazy to grow palms in AZ but as soon as we stop dumping water on them, they die. In CA, there's a weevil that has wiped out a huge percentage of the palms so they're doing whatever they can to save the remaining ones. You're like... dang weeds... LOL

When I install posts, I use small pebble rock rather than concrete. Allows for drainage, but still holds well (I use a lot) per hole.

Wow, big difference from the previous video, now you seem so much more in tune with the machine. I wouldn`t diss anyone either way, that doesn´t drive these things daily - but it´s pretty evident this is not your first rodeo! Good thing with those expert followers I guess ;) Now, what I would´ve suggested for this job is one of those buckets with a grab on it, it would make sorting out that soil so much easier. By the way, I love that pond of yours, I would love to have one myself, if it didn´t come with a ton of annoying insects... But it looks so awesome! Oh, and child labour is always so satisfying to watch - I love putting those little critters to use! ;D JK, I grew up on a farm myself, and could never wait to get in on the action. Teaching them how to be safe around machines and doing meaningful work is always good! Great team work right there!
