My understanding that he had enough fever to be measurably sick, not just feeling unwell. It wasn't certain until quite late if he could make it at all, but they gave him a chair to sit on and he pulled it through. You can see it in his eyes, too. But he pulled through, and on the voice the sickness is apparently only in slightly more nasality being present. A real pro.

I saw an interview with David. He mentioned that he had a lesion on his vocal cord, which if you don't control things just right, becomes extremely painful. He was extremely worried how this performance would go. I'll be honest in that I hadn't seen anything yet where he said he was actually sick though. Just thought I'd share. cheers!

I don't think you need to react to it (unless you want to do a third reaction video to this song 😆), but there is another live version of this with another great singer named Miles Kennedy. David has an incredible voice, no doubt. I love watching vocal coaches and similar folks analyzing the amazing things he does. But I have to say I cringe when reactors go to listen to this performance without knowing that autotune was involved. I know David was unhappy about it, but it still affects the overall sound and sometimes it feels like "cheating" if the listener isn't aware. Once you know you can hear it, but you can also hear the raw talent behind it. Thank you for your videos. I love the insightful comments you have on the accompaniment. I love Disturbed, David Draiman, and this particular cover. Just incredible. But I’m curious if you’ve stumbled across a KZfaqr named Dan Vasc. He is a Brazilian metal singer who performs everything from metal to rock to 80’s hair band to folk to musicals to opera. He is by far my favorite KZfaqr. He just recently hit 1Million subs. I’m a metal head at heart but have a huge appreciation for classical music. If not for a reaction, please at least check out his covers on his channel; he has well over 200 covers. Personally my favorite of his are: Nessun Dorma by Puccini; Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar; and Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. He does have his own metal band called Fearless. He was approached by a record company to sign him but after reading the contracts he refused as he didn’t want to be handcuffed by their terms and/or feel like an employee. He rather enjoys being independent. Hail VascNation ❤

Since it has been a little while between both versions, I really couldn't tell much difference. However, the piano and strings were nice complements to the song. He was extremely sick, I believe he went to the hospital afterwards😮 idk why David hated this one, but it has always been our favorite ❤ I like to refer to the original as the warning and this as David's anger of the warning ignored!😢

Have you ever listened to Tommy Johansson? If not, he might interest you. He makes covers of famous songs. Try his Bohemian Rhapsody or Phantom of the opera

The part that makes it for me, is when he finishes on the word "sound" and the fall off of silence, before he finishes.
