22:50 as a man who has figured this question out. Living life between 250-277lbs for 10+ years to 159 now maintaining 164-168 regularly at 14.6% body fat. The answer to your question as to why we are so fat but continue to eat. First off. FP is correct in stating he doesn’t need to eat; yet. His body could easily consume the fat he’s acquired through months of fasting provided he supplements with vitamins/electrolytes and staying hydrated. To answer the question the reason is multiple answers. 1) our stomach SHOULD be about the size of our fist. If you over eat and gorge you’ll stretch it out. Leaving you with a bigger stomach and the feeling of needing to eat And being hungry sooner than needed. Fast for a day or three and it will shrink back. 2) the quality of the foods we eat directly correlate to whether or not we still are hungry. 7oz of grilled chicken will hold you over wayyyy longer than a 7oz bagel with cream cheese. 3) the government has allowed high fructose corn syrup(HFCS) in nearly all foods. (I challenge anyone to go into the local supermarket and look for items without it, 90% have it) It’s a killer for sure. One of the highest reasons we get cancers. Not to mention it’s addictive. It was invented in 1975ish in Japan and the US Federal drug association allowed it into US foods. This was the moment that the diabetes and obesity crisis arose in the US. But they don’t care because they got paid off to look the other way by big pharma due to the high sales of insulin. 4) sugar and HFCS are addictive. It takes approx 21 days to leave our systems. A scientific survey revealed if rats were given two choices: they would prefer cocaine to rat food, they prefer sugar to rat food, they would prefer sugar over cocaine. Take a look around ice cream store trash bins….. ever see bees swarming for that sugar? Now you know why. E) If FP ever lost weight like I did. I can almost guarantee he would be hitting further. I’ve added an easy 20-30 yards to my drives.
