New 2024 Karmann Mobil Dexter 580 is a small luxury off-grid campervan that comes with the new 9-speed automatic Transmission and in the beautiful Lanzarote grey color that stands out in the crowd!
You can use the car all year round, even in winter. The Truma Combi D heating system, which provides both heat and hot water from diesel from the cars dieseltank, ensures good and even heat! 100Ah Lithium LiFePo4 battery and DCDC charger which makes the car suitable for being off-grid. Full bathroom with shower and toilet, in addition there is an outdoor shower.

The new Fiat Ducato 8 has several improvements such as an upgraded dashboard, digital speedometer and on-board computer, a new stylish steering wheel with cruise control, smart storage solutions in the doors, a new key and now also with a USB-C connector in the driver's area. The car also naturally has the latest standard for exhaust gas emissions: Euro 6 with Adblue!
On the outside, you have, among other things, 16" aluminum rims, recessed windows, a Thule awning, large sun hatches for extra light, which creates a pleasant atmosphere, LED outdoor lighting, mosquito door, rails on the outside and electric steps. Electric sunroof, fog lights, LED running lights and reversing camera, Central locking with key that can unlock and lock all the doors.
The car has a great bed solution, where the bed can also be easily customisable if you need even more garage space. There is plenty of storage under the bed. In addition, there is a cargo plate that can be removed for continuous storage space. If you open the back doors, you can lie down and enjoy the day in fresh air. Both doors have windows with blinds and mosquito nets. Also note that there is a side window in the bed. It also comes with a bed kit if you want to make an extra bed at the front.
Good reversible pilot chairs with armrests form a pleasant seating area. The table can be extended to an even larger table surface with a wave of the hand. Possibility to attach the table in the seating area outside so that you don't have to bring an extra camping table, smart! Adjacent to the living room door you have a Thule awning, outside light, mosquito door and electric steps. Good storage around the car.
In the kitchen there are storage options with drawers and cupboards. High-placed 12v compressor fridge with freezer. Hot/cold water and cooking torches. Great bathroom with hot/cold water, fixed toilet and smart shower cubicle solution.
In the driver's environment you will find the new Fiat ZF 9-speed automatic gearbox which makes the trip very comfortable!, air conditioning, airbags on both sides, cruise control, on-board computer and a vigorous turbodiesel engine which, in combination with the Euro 6 Adblue engine, makes the motorhome ready for a trip. Large entertainment unit with DAB+ radio, reversing camera and bluetooth handsfree. Electric windows, electric mirrors and central locking are also in place. Cruise control is very comfortable to wear on long trips. You will also find storage and cup holders in the dashboard. Retractable tablet and mobile phone. Blinds in the driver's area that are easily pulled out when you want it dark. Lane change warning, hill hold function and Traction+ anti-spin. Loose mat in driving environment.

Ya wanna build one out of a phev.. Solar on roof that charges the 20kwh car battery. Heated flooring, large kitchen sink which can move up and downwith a 300 watt heating element in that can slowly heat up the water from the panels when it's sunny or the battery when dark and pump it out or slide it up and use gravity for a shower. When the battery runs outta juice no problem. Crank the engine and it works like a generator to charge the battery.. When you brake it charges the battery. When you coast it charges the battery.. A 30 litre tank of diesel would let you go off grid for a cple weeks in winter. 6 months in summer...

Thanks for the comment. I have never heard of the solution you mention in a campervan before. The normal thing is a gas hob, and there are some who have Webasto diesel hobs. This is a very good solution that most people are happy with. Having said that, anything is possible if you are creative enough. Have a great day.

Most come with a solar from the factory, but no problem if they don't, this is a simple job that we as a dealer often do and has a low cost for those who want it. Solar cost approximately 800-1,000 dollars depending on the type/size you want, fully assembled including MPPT regulator. Have a great day.

Does not matter bow awesome the build out is if it breaks down and you're stuck with high end repairs. Personally as a visually challenged photographer/artist with a damaged spine, who still wants to go out and see the country and shoot while I still can and work from my rig, I see this as pretty standard for the industry. You want true innovation? Higher women and disabled people. We have to think outside the box daily, just to navigate life.

Super, only the shower room had to be expanded completely to the bed and without a built-in partition inside, and the toilet to hide under the bed. I would remove the gas stove. I put one or two gas tourist tiles in the kit and hid them in a locker. When necessary, I took them out to the car or to the street. I hope the front seats recline forward? maybe it's still possible to make the shower stall movable? so that it turns into one wall, and the toilet goes under the bed? Or make a shower cabin made of waterproof material or polyethylene that fits under the bed with a toilet bowl? Need to take a shower? I pulled out the bag, pulled it into place of the booth and even the width in the aisle, hooked it to the ceiling, washed in a spacious cocoon, then dried it with an air cannon and folded it. Or a furniture option, just sliding walls, with rubber pads at the joints so that there is tightness. I need a shower or toilet, I spread it, I don't need it - I folded it. Thanks for the comment. A good question! Often get this comment on our videos. I think the reason is that everything is bigger in the US so they focus on bigger vehicles. In Europe we have narrow roads, city streets and are dependent on smaller vehicles. There are also many manufacturers who mass-produce campervans in Europe, which push the price down. Often the price in Europe is less than half of the US for the equivalent. Have a great day.

Not as good or compact as the Wingamm Oasi 540 but at half the price of the Oasi can't complain.

The Wingamm Oasi is a great camper, but the problem with it is that it becomes too much work when you want to go to bed/get up since it has a bed that has to be lowered/raised. In addition, the entire traveling party must go to bed at the same time, as you cannot use the seating group when the bed is down. Are you looking for a smaller campervan than this one, the Chausson V594S is altso worth to check you, which has the same length as the Oasi 540, but still has a separate bed at the back. Fast perfekt bis auf das viel zu kleine Klo. Lasst doch die Dusche weg, die keiner braucht, denn was man damit an Wasser verbraucht, muss man ja am nächsten Campingplatz wieder entleeren und Frischwasser zuführen. Dann kann man gleich am Campingplatz duschen.

Danke für den Kommentar. Wenn man so ein kleines Wohnmobil hat, wird es natürlich immer enger. Es ist nicht möglich, dass diese Kastenwagen ohne Badezimmer mit Dusche als Wohnmobil zugelassen werden. Wir haben die Erfahrung gemacht, dass es viele Menschen gibt, die die Dusche benutzen und nie einen Campingplatz besuchen. Ich wünsche ihnen einen wunderbaren Tag.

wir haben den Dexter 580 seit drei Jahren und nutzen Dusche und WC regelmäßig. Das Standard-WC haben wir durch die Biotoi-Trockentrenntoilette ersetzen lassen. Durch den Drehsockel des WC, der dieses bei Nichtnutzung aus dem Duschbereich nach vorne wegbewegt, bleibt die Grundfläche des Bads beim Duschen erhalten. Die Raumgröße ist absolut in Ordnung (ich bin 1,83 Meter/85 Kilogramm). Mit den 100 Litern Frischwasser kommen wir 5 Tage aus, der Grauwassertank nimmt die verbrauchte Menge vollständig auf. Mit 200 Ah Lithium, 100 W Solar sind wir weitgehend autark. Campingplätze nutzen wir nicht, schließlich fahren wir ein Wohnmobil.

Fiat Ducato, verliert den Lack. Lackabplatzungen nach 3 jahren, Fiat weiß das seit 2010 und hat nichts geändert. Die letzten 3 Wochen im Urlaub habe ich mindestens 20 Kastenwagenwagen gesehen mit Lackabplatzungen. Auch mit Campern gesprochen die für 8000 Euro neu Lackiert haben. Meiner Baujahr 2018.

Hallo und danke für den Kommentar. Wie Sie bereits erwähnt haben, kann es sein, dass es vor vielen Jahren an manchen Fahrgestellen Herstellungsfehler gab. Dies sollte bei Fiat behoben werden. Wir haben Hunderte davon verkauft und noch nie ein Problem mit der Farbe gehabt, Sie hatten also offenbar Pech. Ich wünsche ihnen einen wunderbaren Tag.

Oh no not the Fiat 😭😭 I'm not taking a cardboard box overlanding. I know sprinters are OP and transits are shit to work on but stick with the reliable cargos if you're dropping this amount of cash.

Thanks for the comment. Most camper vans in Europe are built on Fiat Ducato/Citroen Jumper/Peugoet Boxer (and in the USA they go by the name RAM Promaster). All of these are in practice the same car. These are good and stable vehicles with few problems and which have been well tested over many years. The Ford Transit is also a good chassis to build on, but compared to the former, it is narrower at the front in the driver's environment. Mercedes Sprinter are also good cars, but you pay an incredible amount in addition to get a star in the grill. Have a great day.

@@BobilagentenAS Fair enough, I don't know enough about European cargos to have an opinion on those, I've just had bad experience building on Fiats, but that's my personal experience. Mercedes is absolutely a status symbol though, there's no reason to spend that much on a cargo.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could own one of these? Only the rich sweetheart, only the rich. That’s why I just bought 1989 d Toyota dolphin RV. I’m having the top redone and a few things inside, though it really doesn’t need it. I just want the booth out , a chair and and a couple cool 14 drawer apocathary storage cabinets. And add a Lagun mounted table. along with the new countertop and a small sink that that I bought for a van years ago. it’s got everything I want a very big back bathroom with the big shower the refrigerator air conditioner that’s going out to put a max fan in its place. It’s a woman who owns it and it’s gonna be very frou frou , and very feminine. And I’m gonna sell it to a lady who wants the shabby chicbark cloth draped RVV from the 50s I only paid 7000. I can add stereo. I can add Bluetooth Apple CarPlay..

Wot a joke. Who can sit in the two rear seats?? Even a medium child would struggle to get in there. These commercially built campervans are 'crap'!

Thanks for the comment. This campervan has been designed and approved for seating and lying for 4 people. It's fine to sit in the back, but naturally everything gets tighter in a campervan of this size. It is best suited for two people due to its size, but many people want to bring children along. no problem for any adult person or two to sit comfortable in those rear seats. And there‘s much space for big knees even anybody else is sitting in the turned driver‘s seat
