When I was 13 I ran away from home so I could go see Bob Marley in Boston. My parents were at the peak of the divorce fighting so I thought I could get away with one day but it took me 2. They never even noticed that I was gone. Top three concerts of all time.

I read in a magazine that Bob Marley was sick that's why I went I didn't want him to die without having never seen him. I never got to see the Mothers of Invention but my friend and I hitchhiked to Tanglewood and broke all the rules of decorum smoking pot on the lawn listening to 100 piece orchestra play Bartok and Stravinsky. Changed my life. But Bob Marley gave me the courage to just go and do that.

My son has autism and didn't sleep well last night. It was a long, tiring day. So I'm snuggling him at bedtime and I hear him reciting something (he has a cute speech impediment) and I recognize Bob Marley lyrics : ) so I put on this song and my boy gets a huge sleepy smile 😊 Thanks, Bob.💙

The thing I love is that Bob Marley lived the true rags to riches story and never forgot who he was. It's inspiring that someone can come from not only living in poverty, but also growing up facing discrimination for being mixed race, to become a world wide artist. Doing it all with a message of love and equality when life didn't treat him with either growing up.

Yes , they was very lucky . Unfortunately , i never met him and when he played in Italy ( my Country ) , i was just 6 old . But , i' ve always loved his music , his wonderful music and i still love It . This i know , this i feel , this Is , until the end of my time .

My parents raised me in the 80s and 90s listening to Bob Marley and the Wailers. I am now a father myself and am raising my children listening to the same music. Bob's music is universal love that should be shared with everyone.
