My dad died in 2003, he was in London for studies, during this time, he was able to attend Bob Marley concert at the Rainbow Theatre on the 3rd of June 1977, he used to tell me the concert was played 4 consecutive days from the 1st to the 4th, back then I didn't pay much attention, I really wish I did, he even met Bob very close at the Picadilly Circus, wish my dad could come back and tell me more about Bob, I have been listening to his music since the early 90s, what a legend.

Hands-down, the best version ever of this song. Junior Marvin absolutely goes insane on the lead guitar.

Black, White, Green or Purple, this Man collectively rounded up a generation and their children within a musical culture of ‘living together’ I’m White. My daughter, who died, was an auburn-haired girl who played this track in the kitchen, constantly, when she was cooking. Bob Marley had me forever about 30 seconds into the “Catch a Fire” version of “ Stir It Up”. I recall that moment vividly. It was in May 1973 shortly after my wife and I boarded a specially modified, genuine red London double decker bus en route from Spain to Morocco with a bunch of German university students on a vagabond camping tour of Morocco’s back country. One of the students had a cassette copy of “Catch a Fire”, which would compete fiercely with “Dark Side of the Moon” for playing time on the bus’s sound system. Unforgettable music became the soundtrack for an unforgettable travel experience

I was living in London when this concert was played. I was married a couple of months later, in August '77, so we were busy with preparations and also saving as much as we could. Looking back you always think here will be another time, like if these great artists will be around forever. In retrospect, it wouldn't have cost that much for this great experience. In short, we should have gone to this concert.
