When I was younger I used to fall asleep to this on the couch with my grandfather. I remember feeling so very safe and calm. Watching these now brings back that nostalgic feeling of being back on the couch with my grandfather.

The painting that begins at about 18:00 in was the very first Bob show I ever saw. I was just amazed as he made a photo realistic mountain range appear with a few strokes of a palette knife

I never realized how many people bob touched with his paintings and soft demeanor. I watched all the time as a kid cuz it was one of the channels we had cuz we didn't have cable. It was pbs channel. Now I'm older and realize how many others have fond memories of this man it's crazy to think back on it

What colors were you using? Using regular red, blue, and yellow will get you full and grey colors. However if you use C.M.Y.K. (Cyan.Magenta.Yellow.Key) you will get much lighter colors.

Bob, as crazy as this sounds, my wife and I have grown closer together as friends after some rocky times in our relationship with your help. We bonded painting this together and we just laugh and enjoy your charisma and your little one liners. I no longer “go to trim the bushes” I “go to trim out happy little bushes” and it always makes her laugh. Thanks for everything you are awesome

Bob Ross is so underrated, he was such an awesome person. He didn't get paid any money from the making of the show and always replied to fan mail and called people who regularly sent fan mail but stopped to make sure they were OK.

Just discovered Bob through Sky arts & I'm addicted ! Have wanted to start painting again for decades but never did it ! What an inspiration he is, like a therapy ! the noise of the brushes on the pallet, the scraping of the knife on the pallet & his soothing relaxing voice is surreal. He was in the military for many years, and he was the guy everyone hated because all he did was scream at everyone. Then one day he just decided he never wanted to raise his voice again, started his business selling his own brand of painting supplies, and this is the result. Amazing man. (He was not paid one penny for the videos, he made all his income from the Bob Ross line of supplies.)
