Watching this after Bob's passing. So sad. This was almost like watching Danny interviewing her. I feel he genuinely cared about McKenna. Who was absolutely incredible in Ghostbusters. I'd love to see her back in that role at least one more time, but after that franchise rebirth I see potential for more. She was the movie. So sad to see him go. Being born in 80 he was a huge part of my childhood. Prayers for his family and friends.

McKenna you were the heart and soul of that movie, your portrayal of a brilliant kid slightly on the spectrum was spot on. I always identified with Egon and you brought his granddaughter TO LIFE, and you reminded me if my little girl and she loves you. She said: Dad she's just like me with a big smile.

I just watched GBA and while it had some problems I still enjoyed it, but McKenna Grace knocked it out of the ball park. She's hands down the best part of that movie.

I'm not familiar with Bob Saget. I'm only watching this because I just watched Ghostbusters. But, after looking at the comments it's crazy to think this guy has just passed. It's a reminder that tomorrow is never guaranteed.

I am hoping to see it next week, My buddy's got covid and he's my ride. But I'm a huge fan of GB and Full House, Seen both in the 80s-90s I was younger than Ms Grace there I was 7 when the 2nd GB came out. I wish more young people had her heart and mind man, So well mannered. She must have great parents. I can't wait to see it, Hope she just has a bright future.

She did a great job in the movie. I'm an OG Ghostbusters fan, not a "Super fan" that knows every detail... I'm a 36 year old man but even I was surprised at how well she did because I started rooting for her character early in the movie (when she made her first friend) and that I'd watch another GB with her as the lead. Continued success for her 👍 and I hope we get to see her and the team of GB on more "missions" in the future.

I saw Afterlife in the theatre with my kids during Christmas break. It was the first time we've all been to the movies in 2 YEARS. Of course the wrong reel was in the projector, Clifford the big red dog started playing so I had to go tell someone in the lobby we needed the Ghostbusters Afterlife movie fixed. A part of me wanted it to be a ghosts fault but it was most likely some 16 year old kids fault. Needless to say the issue was fixed and we had an awesome experience together as a family freaking out when we saw Ecto 1, the terror dogs, and of course surprise cameos. I'm so happy a reboot was made with respect and love to the original Ghostbusters. I still haven't seen the other one with girls from SNL, I'm refusing to acknowledge it exists. No offense 🤣 but as a girl who grew up in the 80s and 90s I can honestly say every boy I knew had a Ghostbusters jumpsuit and proton pack.

Little known connection between these franchises is David Collier took over Venkman in the later seasons of The Real Ghostbusters. I've been a Ghosthead for as long as I've been a Trekker(another series in resurgence). My favorite of the 4 in the group has always been Egon because I was like him as a kid.(Peter is......problematic)The lore of the world is so expansive and well crafted. So much so that I've got 2 of the major plot breakdowns that Dan had planned while his GB3 was in development hell. After being let down by 2016(for a major reason not obvious to many) I was cautiously optimistic with Afterlife. Armed with my mini Proton pack, decked out in my Ghostbusters t-shirt, I sat down for a showing at 3:30pm this afternoon. Holy F**K was I blown away. I sobbed so hard in this. And GODD**N was Mackena channeling Harold in this. Btw if you do have experience with the 09 game I feel that wallop at the end will hit different.

Ridiculous that they took Bob. He was one of the last good ones. Only bad people left in the world-except for a VERY few. Mckenna Grace is adorable (one of the VERY few good people left in the terrible world). She will be a multi-Oscar winner before she's 30.

51:46 you know I thought of making a movie in the age of 13 (which I am now) McKenna moves to Florida and she gets bullied by 3 people and her dad dies in a car accident, and there’s a singing competition going on and she sign up she knows it’s what her dad would of wanted cause she loved to sing when she was 4 years old she grows up become 15 years old and me I play as her only friend (later on I become her boyfriend) But the point is she doing this for her dad and she doing this to show people that she’s not a shy person anymore and that she’s not an embarrassment to anyone, it’s a musical, romance, and it’s a drama movie. (Oh and I almost forgot one of the bullies is played by Sofia Wylie)

Honestly, I wish they would stop killing the Ghost Busters franchise or at least stop poking the corpse of it with a stick... It was written by Egon Spangler aka the late, great Mr. Harold Ramis with a Mr. Dan Aykroyd. There were strong females in the originals, the impossible to touch Sigourney Weaver and the character Janine; however, redoing the movie with all females is like doing Steel Magnolias with all men... In fact, BOB SAGET should've been the Egon Spangler because you look the part and your humor can compliment the role! A real shame.
