I have met Willie Ninja and allow me to share. What a wonderful, humble, sweet and kind soul. He met me when i was down and new to coming out and he kindly picked me up, took me to meet his mom and we spoke all night. He educated, informed and infused love in me. I will never forget him and his kindness.

@@austint8263 it’s not necessarily a riddle. It’s more of by the end of the sentence, it seems he forgot what he was talking about at the beginning, so he tries to say something to fill the void. Rambling is a better word for it, I think.

Very informative video! It’s so important to understand the history of the art form contextualize its place in society, and how we consume and engage with it.

As someone who was a young adult in the 80s, it cant be stressed enough how damaging AIDS was or how badly it was handled by our govt. Just in my own life I lost 3 men including my dance partner, the 1st guy I dated and the sweet man who cut my hair since I was a child. No one in power seemed to care until famous white people started dying! They dismissed it, called it "gay cancer", and we lost so much of a whole gen. of amazing people 💔

When I was listening to the aids and war on drugs portion of this video I keep relearning things like this about americas history and start noticing like man my schools really lied to me and not told me how evil America was and still is and how minorities were just trying to get by day to day. It’s just sad.. but Ty for unwhitewashing me

Willie was not a drag queen. Nor did he choreograph Madonna’s Vogue video. This is a bit misleading and kind of disrespectful to get the story so incorrect and to erase Jose and Luis Xtravaganza and Vincent Patterson’s groundbreaking work with Madonna. Edit: They first call him a drag queen at 6:34.
