To be honest, the manga needs a few more chapters at least until it has definitely enough content to make a second season... it can't end with the contest arc nor the Christmas party arc, the former is too much of a bummer and the latter is just a gag. I think when their label finally releases their album is gonna be the point they'll choose for the conclusion of a second season, but the manga hasn't done that yet (unless I just haven't seen the chapters)
