Renault are kings of the parts bin, that dashboard set up is the same as my old 2001 scenic petrol. Someone in Bulgaria is going to love that van when you've finished tinkering with it.

Great vid my renault traffic 2003 just did the same this morning drove it home parked it up came to start in the morning cranks over won't start and engine light starts flashing stop. Hopefully after watching this i can sort it no fault coeds by the way.

I have one of these been to 2 garages with a fuel pressure infomation code drive fine starts fine cuts out a 3k turn the key on and of and it's fine. And they cant fix .looking forward to part 2.top job

Very helpful video I have a 2005 vaxhall vivaro and it is just cranking but no start. Also the revs are similar to what you showed in your video. I will see if I can get a computer to check all the faults and then go from there. Thanks again and God Bless

crazy live data is the scanner problem. :) renault has this problem on many aftermarket scanners

I might be wrong, but then temp gauge doing that when you switch the ignition on, I think is it showing what it thinking the oil level ism then it goes back to showing what it thinks the temp is. A lot of the modern french ones do it.

You remember that tail I told you about my dad's bmw..and me using a chock of wood to repair a busted spring???well he decided to go to italy in it after dodgy head gasket repair with steel seal....got there. ..on way back was putting more water out than you could put in..scrapped it out there and got train back..lol.i told him not to go 😂😂😂

could it be so easy as if two keys are close to the keyring it may sense the "old" keys signals and refuse to start?

I HATE these Renault engines when they break the wires, they always break right at the weatherpack boot of the pin. Not worked out why they break at that spot but the pin repairs I have made I have not had a comeback in 5 years I have been using my method of re-using the pin but replacing the wire

He's got an old van that sounds like it's lost compression from one of the cylinders; It goes ONE, TWO, THREE, FOOOOUR... ONE, TWO, THREE, FOOOOUR... ONE, TWO, THREE, FOOOOUR.... I had a 2002 Renault Clio and the key got stuck inside the ignition barrel, after muttering a few FFS's I had to cut the barrel out and replace it. The key that came with the replacement ignition barrel (2nd hand) fitted the locks as well as the barrel so I didn't have to use two keys

Good video I got a 55 plate vivaro and will turn over but won’t fire up ? When turn key on the coil light come on but goes straight off ? Any ideas ? Matt

Dunno if wires going brittle is a thing with the vans or not, mines an 03 1.9DCi and i had crank sensor problems, reading live data would show crank signal, but intermittently, van would cut out when hot, then not start, leave it cool down and she'd go again, changed the sensor then it wouldn't start at all... pushed the wires down into the plug and it started... ended up removing the plug and replacing it the wires were super brittle at the plug end... just one to keep in mind, that crank sensor problems may be down to the wires as well :)

Hi Leon, I have a 2004 vivaro, crank no start. I have noticed that the immobilizer light is not coming on at all on the dash and also the hazard and indicators are not working, but everything else is. I have checked around the ECU and the fuses all over and can find no fault or any broken wires. My mechanic can find no fault codes, any ideas? Please help. Is the temperature gauge swinging normal fo that vehicle, I have a Vauxhal car and when you first turn on the ignition all the gauges swing right through full movement in some form of self test,if so that gauge is only going half way.

How long have you been doing vehicle repairs ? This is the sort of crap I have seen for 30 years at least . Most repairmen are too lazy to solder, they just twist and tape with electricians tape . I do agree it is bad but it is common .
