When they interviewed Charlie told them where was his mother he told them that she stayed where the crystals were at but they did not take that child seriously

The minute that little boy said "mommy came to camp with us, but didn't come back home" SHOULD HAVE BEEN an all out search effort at the location the CHILD described. To say we're going to release him and just watch him for a YEAR!!, was ONE of the dumbest thing I've heard them say. 🙄 The law enforcement were absolutely incompetent throughout this case. Geez louise. 😡 The 911 dispatcher is on another level of stupidity. What an absolute meat head, dead from the neck up!😡😤

I’m sorry, but you’re misinformed. The police made calculated decisions based on what they knew at the time and spent thousands of hours and untold resources to find her. Just because you don’t KNOW about everything they did, with the 20/20 hindsight that you have, doesn’t mean they didn’t do their job or were incompetent. I suggest listening to the COLD podcast. Then make an informed decision.

I could have looked at a map after hearing Charlie say that his Mom was where the crystals are, and found Topaz Mtn. within 2 minutes of that interview!! What kind of keystone cops handled this case? WTF?????

That female cop that interview CHARLES was so awful to him he said he was hungry and she didn't let him have anything to eat and just hounded him if you can find that video you will be shocked

This is not true. They took him as seriously as they could. He said a lot of incomprehensible things and the police have an obligation to find real evidence beyond a child’s ramblings before making an arrest. Charlie also said she was where the berries were, of which there are none where the topaz is. They also did searches for months that were never reported to the public so as not to tip their hand to Josh. Don’t assume you know better when it wasn’t your job and you don’t know what all went on.

The justice system has been failing Susan and her baby boys since the start of this whole thing. I still pray every day for Susan to be found, nobody deserves to die at the hands of someone they love. And Josh Powell wasn’t good looking, he didn’t have a good heart, he was just evil and manipulative thru and thru.

Yes, there is no common sense in driving in the middle of the night, snowing and so cold with little children for camping in the middle of nowhere. It doesn't make sense to me ... I don't know why the police and the authority are so dumb believing that husband, is beyond me! Just like believing that Jesus Christ was born in December in Bethlehem in the middle of cold winter while the shepherds are outside herding the flock? Who wants to put their sheep or their animals in the cold winter outside? Does that make sense? No, because people never used their brain and common sense to understand something bigger than their brain!!

Saw this on tv and broke my heart for Susan and her two boys. All she did was love and trust a man who later on turned out to be a psychopath, she paid a heavy price for it...

I'm shocked it didn't bother anyone that the things they thought were most important to describe this missing mother of two sweet boys was that she bakes her own bread and cans her own vegetables.....seriously? That's what you want her to be remembered by or what you think would have helped find her? smh

Josh and his father told the media she was sex obsessed and ran off with another man. Baking your own bread and can I g your own vegetables is the opposite. The amount of time and effort as a mother to go to that level is beyond. She was an amazing mum and those details show that.

Do y'all not remember that when they talk to the little boy the little boy said that his mother stayed where their crystals were at that's what the little boy said more clear than that a little child could not see but he told them that his mother stayed where the crystals were at

The Justice system is so broken it's not funny. A man whos wife went missing and the kids were saying mommy stayed with the crystals and Josh was still allowed to see his boys? That's crazy. Then currently jussie was released from jail until his appeal trial. This is insanity.

I had to watch a documentary on this case for a criminals justice class. In the documentary I swear that one of the search teams mentioned they found a cave near topaz mountain that had a gasoline smell coming from it. Because of that they couldn't search it for safety reasons. I think thats what I heard, but I am not for sure. If they did say that I would be so mad that they didn't just go search it. I mean there has to be a way to do so. Think about it, Josh Powell could have killed her there which explains why one of the kids said crystals hinting at topaz mountain. When he went to hide the body he found a cave. Then he burned the body using gasoline. Or poured it on the body then realized a fire could attract too much attention. NOW DON'T QUOTE ME ON THIS. I thought I heard the documentary mention that a search team found a cave with gasoline. Keyword: thought, I'm not for sure that is what it said. But if it did then that was my explanation of what could have happened to her. I wish they have found the body. I was pretty sad for Susan's family and for her kids. Learning that Josh murdered the kids with and killed himself was awful. I just kind of had to vent my thoughts on this. When I thought they mentioned the cave and that they didn't search it, I was mind boggled.

Different people are hunting again in a mine that had been set on fire. They just reported they found 2 gasoline holders and also bones and clothes. They ARE NOT sure the bones are human yet. I really hope they find her for her family's sake

I agree with comments below. I really believe that most stupid ideas such as this one... where a person seems commit such a horrific tragedy, and there is no forethinking to maybe tell them that maybe you should do this? Or maybe I don't want to spend the rest of my life behind bars? Or maybe I will just wipe out the whole fam damily. It absolutely broke my heart to watch this play out. My heart goes out to the surviving families. I cannot imagine losing my kids or grandkids to actions like this. So very very sad. God Bless to the survivors. God Speed. Janine P. Flucken-Burns Davis

I'm sorry but I have such a hard time listening to NG... her voice is so nasal sounding and whomever she is speaking with, she mentions first and last names ... sometimes more than once. Otherwise great show. I feel so sorry for Susan... she married into a psychopathic family. They really needed to have a place of their own from the beginning. When you marry someone, you are also marrying, so to speak, their family. Prayers for Susan's family and friends. Sad
