Bodycam video shows police rescuing a kidnapped child in Atlanta this week. The suspect, 38-year-old Darius White, allegedly stole a car with a 9-year-old child still in the backset. The Atlanta Police Department teamed with State and local law enforcement officers to catch this car thief and rescue the kidnapped child. Upon arrival, officers met with caller, Ms. Jerrica Moore who advised she had pulled into the parking lot of the location, where she exited her vehicle, leaving her keys and her 9-year-old son inside. Suddenly an unknown male jumped into her vehicle and sped away from the location with her child still in the car. White was charged with kidnapping, cruelty towards children, and theft.

@@oumun you realize this is a lame argument for religious people right? you can thank god for the officer and pray to god for the kidnapper, because religious people would argue that god gave people the gift of free will, which people use to sin, which is what this guy did. if the kidnapper does not have the choice to steal the kid, nobody has the choice to do anything. that is what free will is. the better argument is why did god give some kid cancer or something.

I suggest you become an orthodox christian at an orthodox christian church near you, get baptised and receive the holy spirit and live a spiritual life (repentance- confession to the priest and holy communion). This is all God wants from us and through these sacraments we will be saved 💯 Spread the word and positivity and God Bless!

There are bad apples out there for sure, but most cops want to do nothing more than to protect and serve the community. There was reasonable force was used to take the suspect into custody, and get the child out of harm's Way. They even comforted the child as well after this nightmarish situation like all cops should do. As for the suspect, he will have his time in court and be facing the justice he deserves.

So true no matter how much these suspects try to play victim the officers knew better not to trust this fool who kidnapped a child in a car Good learning experience to not fall for this kind of stuff and carry on with the task at hand with no mercy unless held responsible

They were pretty rough on him for no reason. He said he wasn't doing anything wrong. I don't understand why the police would continue to treat him like a criminal after he said he was innocent. Why did he pull his gun out anyway? There was no need for that. Nor was there any need for the reckless driving. Sure maybe they saved some kid who was kidnapped, but I fail to see why that couldn't be handled by a social worker.

@@Chris-Christopher- this person literally took a car with a kid in it when the mother left the car with the kid inside for whatever reason. this person does not know the mother or the kid. he also has previous offenses of theft and robbery. what if he had a weapon on him? he could have very well attacked both the police officer and the kid while trying to get away. he's trying to play a victim by acting scared when he is very well a criminal to gain sympathy. why should they act nice towards him?
@Chris-Christopher-

@@ok-gz1gu, we shouldn't arrest people just because they commit crimes. Had the police let him go then I'm sure the kid would have been fine. As for the car being stolen. I don't really understand why it's that big of a deal. He obviously needed the car more than the person he stole it from. They can always buy another car if they really needed to.
