When I export animation made from pngs, it renders out json file and all images in sub folder. When i put into webflow it doesn't show animation, just shows blank.

for after effects 2017, is there a version? because bodymovin panel is completely blank in after effects 2017. there is nothing inside it.

if my client is asking for an SVG would the json file be all they need? or is svg a different file type?

Really wanted to use this, seems powerful, especially when used with GreenSock et al, but it doesn't install in After Effects 17.0.6! Not from the Exchange, nor with the fallback solution. Anyone knows a workaround?

Ok, if someone suffered the same issue, here's what worked for me (Windows): - seems the bodymovin version on Adobe Exchange is obsolete (probably that's why it doesn't install). You can get the latest version from aescripts.com/bodymovin/ (donate what you want) and download - Also install the free ZXP installer aescripts.com/learn/zxp-installer/ - Open the ZXP installer, open the bodymovin.zxp file and install. Thanks aescripts guys!

I'm having trouble getting Bodymovin to work on my laptop, seems like I have it installed but when I run the script only a black blank window shows up. Has anyone faced this issue too?

Will this work for an animation file that is using imported AI layers? I have an animation that is already done. Everything is drawn in Illustrator and then imported into AE. Any tips to convert it to a json without it converting the layers to PNG?

10 months too late perhaps, but have you tried converting the AI layer files into shape layers inside AE?

@@TheBelgianTerror yes, the bodymovin plugin is still supported. I would recommend trying to convert AI layers to shape layers inside AE using this way.. Right click on the layer(imported in AE from AI), create >> Shapes from vector layers.. And then animating the shape layer.. Bodymovin should export without converting them to images

SOMEONE HELP! Pulling my hair out, cant find a solution. After animation the graphics drop off on last frame. Cant figure out trimming timeline, composition to work area, etc. It just loses all content on last frame in every animation i render.

You need to go to preferences > scripting and expressions and enable 'Allow scripts to write files and network'. I accidentally skipped this step too but its very important!

While Airbnb released Lottie in 2017, feature development on Adobe Muse stopped in March, 2018. Adobe hadn't built in Lottie functionality before they announced the discontinuation of Muse. Hello, Lottie animations need to be vector-based and they do not support all Adobe After Effects' features. Please refer to the list of supported features in this link: lottiefiles.com/supported-features

Hi, Joby! Our team had some challenges because we have multiple Creative Cloud accounts (some of us are hopping between different computers). Did you use the link on Adobe's page at exchange.adobe.com/creativecloud.details.12557.bodymovin.html ? We also had to quit After Effects and start it back up again. Please keep us updated - interested in how the extension experience goes on your end!
