Sorry folks, no mud here. The rain went on a vacation this fall and it was wonderful. Beans were dry, the soil was dry, all was dry; nothing more delightful. Other than the fan belts and a bearing needing fixed since the end of last season, the combine repairs were minimal. In season fixing has been limited to a connector link for the unload auger chain. I'm telling ya, dryness make everything better. Which, I want some insight on the tip of the wet kernel staying on the cob and how that plays into yield loss.
