The 747 is a magical machine...can’t believe they were conceived in the early 60’s and have been in service ever since!! Remarkable...

So cool. Airplanes really are at the peak of many human disciplines. They are marvels of science, engineering (materials, aerospace, industrial), technology, design (they have to look good and be comfortable for people to like flying on them), and even business (getting all the parts to build them and designing airline routes and fares is complex). Not to mention they look and sound amazing.

This is a rare perspective of plane videos to find on KZfaq, especially for a 747-8i. Good Job.

Wow I miss this view. I used to work for ACS servicing Korean Air and Omni’s Vacation Hawaii flight and occasional military contractor flight. This was probably the funnest job I had because I was up and close to the planes watching them come and go. I was on the ramp when a Quantas A380 had to make an emergency landing on our reef runway due to a medical issue onboard. At the time we didn’t have any stairs or jetways that could meet up to the doors. Seeing that huge bird up close was something else. A memory I’ll never forget. Thanks for posting this pushback. It brought back so much great memories. One thing I do know is, the 747 is the easiest plane to pushback.

Yeah it was pretty awesome servicing Air New Zealand’s all black 787!

Most definitely a 747-8. The pylons stick straight forward with no downslope to them. Note that the APU provides enough air to start two engines at a time. The big military start carts can also provide enough air that I once started all four engines on a DC-8-63 simultaneously in Ramstein, Germany. The air pressure from the start cart only dropped from 45 to about 42 PSI with all four JT3D-7 engines turning. Two of these -8 engines use more air than four DC-8 engines did, so that is a really high output APU they have.

I would put the A380 in with that group, and being old enough to see all 3 fly i feel blessed.
@AviationNut5 жыл бұрын
@@greyhamlogan2255 I wouldn't put the A380 in that because the A380 was designed by computers, the computers calculated what would work and what wouldn't, even Airbus admitted that without today's computers and technology they would have an extremely hard time building the A380. The 747 and the Concorde was all designed by people with rulers and pencils, which is extremely hard to do and you need extremely smart people to pull that off.
