This thing makes more crazy noises than an A320. At first, I was worried that since it was "new" it would also be "boring." Not so, it turns out. I'm so happy Air Canada is getting them!

@civagiarn5 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, but I think noise is essential on a plane. I was on an A320neo takeoff recently and it was too quiet. In fact I find it easier to sleep on louder planes. You don't get distracted by the irritating sounds of other passengers rustling etc, it all gets drowned out. I remember if ever I sat on the back of a DC-9 everyone in the last few rows would fall asleep straight away despite. It is like white noise.

Why could the not have just used the old vickers pumps or something. These are way too loud and in a bad way.
@SeeYourStar10 жыл бұрын
not happy with new noises at all :( I am trying ot watch video to see if ever fly them you said noise isnt as bad in other prts, where near wing (so better for turbulence) is better for less noise, I don't find this relaxing at all , not looking forward to Air Canada getting them at all with less seat room than any of their previous planes and seat width = not a dream, not being a hater, just real.
@TheFlyingSpanner110 жыл бұрын
Its alot more quieter towards the front, and rear, but its only these couple of rows that are this noisy (they're directly over the centre system hydraulic pumps) so a few rows forwards of these seats, the noise isnt that bad.
@SeeYourStar10 жыл бұрын
TheFlyingSpanner1 thank you, that is helpful, I really wish most iarlines (like ANA) made the seat choices not so narrow and poor seat width...also quieter in this area like 777,767,a330,a340 etc. On Air Canada, if given a choice, their 777 2 cabin config is 18.5 width and 32 inch seat pitch, compared to their new 787 of 17 width, 31 seat pitch hopefully if sitting in middle of wing instead of where your seat was (which is where I would have choose), will make a difference?
@calvinrovinescu61668 жыл бұрын
+Saud Al-Faisal Siddiqui the transformers are heard at the beginning of the video and then after startup there are center hydraulic system electric pumps which sound horrible.

The whine noise is killing me. One more reason why I would rather fly on an airbus a350 or a boeing 777 (I am a fan of both companies. So don't go ahead and defend your precious little company)
@TheFlyingSpanner17 жыл бұрын
That whining noise is only there when there is a lot of demand for hydraulic pressure, such as during takeoff and landing, when gear is moving, flaps, large control surface inputs are all happening at the same time. Otherwise the pump is at idle, and the noise it not noticeable.
@therublixcube30527 жыл бұрын
Well, at least in other aircraft it's less audible. One exception being the a320, but that sound is sorta enjoyable..
@TheFlyingSpanner17 жыл бұрын

@@TheFlyingSpanner1 in fact the demand pumps are set to Auto by the pilots, the Demand pumps Only kick in when: - prior to Flap extension and to hold both the flaps and slats extended - landing gear Actuation ( Extension and retraction) - Brakes ( Autobrake and manual braking) Normally the Engine Driven Hydraulic Pumps and the main Electric Pumps of the Centre Hydraulic system, supply full system pressure to : - Ailerons - Rudder - Elevators - Roll Control Spoilers ( close to the Ailerons) - Autopilot system - Thrust Reverser System - Antiskid - Nose wheel steering system The Demand pumps provide additional pressure to : - Flaps and Slats - Manual Braking - Landing Gear Actuation System - Main Landing Gear Steering system - Flight Spoilers - Ground Spoilers ( all spoilers when the Main Landing Gears touch down upon landing) - Act as backup incase Engine Driven pumps become inoperative ,this is to backup the hydraulic systems ( Left and Right systems). - the demand pumps of the centre system are also used as backup pumps should the main Electric Pumps fail.
