8:47, No, the aircraft will not take off, the forward velocity is zero, to a person simply standing on the ground, the plane will appear to be at rest although the wheels will be rotating. Remember that a wing produces lift when air flows over it, since the aircraft is stationary, there is no air flow over the wings and thus no lift hence the plane wont take off😁😁

I think the ans is no for your question because the treadmill is canceling out the thrust and that plane has to overcome or it has to give vertical thrust (if possible maybe). And the simple example can be that plane has to move forward to create lift as much as drag is provided.

I don't think so........ because the aircraft flies when lift force which counter gravity is generated. This is produced by the aerofoil shape of the wings of the aircraft. The aerofoil shape creates a pressure difference which makes the air over the wings move faster than the air under the wings ,this fast traveling air strikes the ground which produces the required lift force and hence the aircraft flies. But since there is no air as the aircraft is stationary (cuz relative velocity is zero) no pressure difference will be created as a result aircraft will not fly. Hope this helps 😊

The plane will take-off perfectly fine coz speed/thrust is needed for the wings of the aircraft to create LIFT. Assuming air is present and everything else is unchanged, once aircraft reaches enough speed to overcome the weight of the aircraft it will fly, regardless of treadmill or any track.

It won’t takeoff, Besides the CL, the aircraft would need a higher dynamic power to generate a pressure differential to generate lift. Given the surface area/flap config is set to Opt config.

8:56 Aircraft fly bcs of a force called lift. Lift is generated when there is a lower pressure on upper half of the wing than the lower half. Since aircraft will be stationery ( only wheels moving ) there will be no air flow above or below the wings so no pressure difference. Therefore aircraft wont fly.

Sir, as a 15 yr old , I think the airplane will of course lift up because lets say if we consider a car running on treadmill (where the treadmill is designed such that the speed decreases or increases according to the velocity of car) , then the car will remain steady enough because the thrust produced here will be along the treadmill and the treadmill will also be exerting a same force on the wheels of the car due to which a pair of balanced forces would be created and hence the car will remain stationery . ON the other hand , if we are considering an aircraft then we know that the thrust produced in this case will not be along the treadmill whereas it would be produced in the atmosphere / gases. so this will lead the aircraft to move upwards( due to action and reaction forces) and therefore the aircraft will lift up. However, i may be incorrect , so please do provide the correct explanation in the next video.

In order to aircraft to be airborne wings should produce enough lift , and according to lift equation velocity of relative air flow plays vvimp role, so if it's in treadmill then we need large amount of head wind to lift the aircraft so if it was a microlight then it might but large aircraft practically is not possible.

8:33 All depends on the airflow, there is something called preassure velocity tradeoff if the velocity is good enough, the preasue generated by that multipled by the area of the wings if grater than the weight of the aircraft, under these conditions it will take off, There was a video on Captain Joe's YT channel where they kept a sea plane with no landing gear on a trailer and then they attached that to a pickup truck and as soon as the speed / velocity ( moving in straigh direction ) was good enough the aircraft tookoff. Will be applying for CPL in some years, currently a 4th btech student learnt this during my JEE prep

Since its stationary respective to the ground, and the situation being ideal. Airspeed respective to the plane will be 0 and hence producing 0 lift. It won’t take off.

The aircraft won't be to able to leave the ground as only the work of thrust is getting done but to generate a lift the aircraft needs a higher pressure region under the wings and lower pressure above which is not getting created bcz of which it will stay in the ground

Yes, an aircraft will take off even if it's on a treadmill. The treadmill doesn't affect the aircraft's ability to generate lift and achieve takeoff, as long as the aircraft's engines are producing enough thrust to overcome its weight and drag. The wheels of the aircraft would simply spin faster on the treadmill, but the aircraft can still generate the necessary lift for takeoff.

I think the plane will stay steady because there is equal amount of friction and velocity on the treadmill and the wheels of the aircraft., And ya i am in 10th standard and ia have dream to become a pilot, so it means I am an aspiring pilot 🫡🙂
